wow quite the industrial guy aren't you. Cool weapons, very creative. Only thing i can think to add for your consideration, is that when the time comes and your old enough to buy fire arms, get something in an 30-06 or .308 instead of the 7.62x54r.I know that surplus Nagant's are cheap themselves but the ammo in certain regions can be difficult to come by. And when the SHTF you'll want something they'll have at every gun store or wal-mart. Anyway, keep up the good work.

Anyway, keep up the good work."the thing about getting quality made ammunition(.308 and 30-06 is american and high quality) is that im paying close to a dollar a round for stuff like that. Im leaning more towards 7.62 x 39mm because i can buy plenty of surplus thats nonreloadable, but is also non corrosive. 250USD buys me 1000 rounds of either silver bear, brown bear, or wolf. Now, for duration living, i will want to reload. I need to look the price up of how much it is to get individual parts for the bullets(shells, primers, powder) and if i can readily afford getting the equipment, ill load my own .308 rounds and shave the cash off.. and then buy an AR platform to fire that .308 with accuracy. I'm not confident with far shots so i wouldnt need the range as much. I'm a prepper kind of guy, and stockpiling is my thing. I wont expect to be scavenging for ammunition for a long while because, quite frankly, finding a 20 round box of .308 amidst rubble doesnt satisfy my thoughts on buying a platform. Like i said, stockpiling is key |

In which case you would have to lug around all the 7.62x39mm or simply put AK ammo, very heavy, along with the reloading dies, presses, powder, brass, primers and other measuring equipment for the .308 later. When you could just get something in a .308 now ,which fire the way cheap 7.62x51mm NATO rounds, and only have to carry the ammo for that one weapon. Or am I confused and this not in regards to your exit plan to the north and solely about a fortress style plane? |

In all seriousness aint nobody getting anywhere in zday. best i can do is prep for WROL like any smartminded American. btw if i was going out of florida id be taking a rather large vehicle to carry all the necessary stuff.. its just the fact that id rather fight on my turf and hold the line. |

Where you said you wanted to find reloading components, I don't think you can reload Wolf. Not sure with the Bears.

"Where you said you wanted to find reloading components, I don't think you can reload Wolf. I like the sportsman guide alot because they have the descriptions right in front of ya so you dont half to think "is it reloadable?" its cheaper to get a bunch of nonreloadable, but its even cheaper to reload. But the thing is, I want to find a large sized case (of 7.62 x 39mm) thats relatively cheap and reloadable. I think every brand i looked at is also noncorrosive so thats a plus. Thing is if I wanna go even cheaper, those surplus grates of corrosive would work, even if they aint reloadable. eh its kinda complicated what i 'want' |

"Okay, I thought so.not to necropost, but i have somewhat decided to get an ak74 as a combat rifle. Within the next year or so I'll have all the cash(this includes me getting a chestrig and etc to carry the gun gear) i like the 5.45 round because of all of its properties(and myths) but most importantly, 130 bucks buys 1,000 rounds. it may be steel cased and corrosive, but good maintenence will prevent any damage. Just my little revelation there.. |

th 7.62 x 54r is cheap and the AP rounds are realy cheap on the net, its also AP least the soft steal tip "ap" is cheaper then regular ball. they do sell brass of it. they also sell brass AK 47 wincheaster makes and some times wolf has brass versions of there ammo. AKA wolf gold line. hornady makes some performance 5.45x39 with ballistic tips but its steel case :-( |

"not to necropost,Nice. One thing I'd like to get is a Tokarvev pistol. The ammunition around $6 for 70 rounds. Offhand, I can't think of any centerfire ammunition that beats that. |

"true. ive found multiple deals on sportsman's guide for tokarev ammo."i have a cz-52 that shoot 762x25 i wish it have a mag release button and hi -cap in stead of the damn bottom mag catch and 9 rds. BTW HK stole its firing mechanism which was its revolutionary "design" Wich they use in almost every gun they ******* make. tokrev is so cheap i wouldnt mine having a carbine of some sorts for it but alas thety keep making side feeders like sterling or the AR upper for it made by prexis. :-( |
