What started my zombie fixation: Well the idea about survival in the SHTF environment started about 31 years ago for me.

My location: North eastern mideast
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywher? If the Zombies are coming or SHTF, either in town or in the USA in general.
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Relocating within 24 hrs.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? Have evac plan in place, and we know how plans go, so maybe it will be on the fly..
Got anyone I want to take with m?Family and para-military members and their families.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? I will have radio's and hand held commo for our group, plus either short wave or Citizens band radio's.
How am I planning to get food and water?
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? Well My bushmaster is my first choice- back up 1911 45 cal, and SR9 9mm and 12 gauge shotgun.
Got a survival philosophy? When it goes down get to your hide as soon as possible..pick up things along the way if possible, have plan for that also.
Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Yes, but it depends on their ideals and what they have planned for,Like this ( i got a gun and some can goods I brought with me), these type of people are not prepared at all, they are depending on others to help them, or hoping to take from them.
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? No, my plan has been in the works for alot of years, and sometimes plans will fail, but when you have other plans in that plan well then in becomes SOP, if you have never served in the Military, you may not know what (SOP) is.

I have served in the US ARMY, and in the GULF WAR, I have recieved alot of Training thru the Military, AIRBORNE QUALIFIED, Chemical specialist, I have trained with many weapons, I have Martial arts training, E&E training,First aid training, automotive certified, Recon training, Survival Training, Spec-ops training, know the way around the woods, I know how to track animals and humans, I fish and hunt and know about edible foods in the woods. Can skin a buck and run a trout line. I can help others prepare for the worst, all u have to do is ask.
