What started my zombie fixation:Ummm... My dad has always been a survivalist, and while I'm preparing I might as well include the dead rising up.
Favorite zombie book:Not about zombies, so it doesn't really count. But I love the SAS Survival Guide. It explains how to build different shelters, traps, and what types of food you can and can't eat.
Favorite zombie movie: I think it is hard to get into a zombie movie, because either everyone dies, or everyone lives. When everyone dies, you sorta get depressed, yet when all of the main characters live, it gives you almost a false sense of hope.
Favorite quote in any zombie movie:"We have got to teach these things to eat something other than us!"

How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route?I would hope to find some other groups of people, outside of my friends and family, that would be willing to trade.
How am I planning to get food and water?Live near a reservoir, and there is quite a bit of game. Also, there is good soil to plant any food that I can find.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that?I personally think that a knife would be the best thing to have. Not really a weapon made for killing zombies, but think of all the things you can accomplish with a single blade. Now compare that to the things you can accomplish with a single round.
Got a survival philosophy? Honestly, in a world going through a Z-apoc, i think surviving will be a philosophy in itself. Food and water are the most important things.

Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? Red Dawn is where a lot of it comes from . Although it isn't about zombies, the survival aspect is amazing.
