What started my zombie fixation: Surely was gaming, though I've been an apocalypse senario fanatic since childhood- I think it was reading "Z is for Zacharia" in elementary school.
Favorite zombie book: "Zone One" by Colson Whitehead. First zombie apocalypse novel that strikes me as "real literature". I also love "World War Z".
Favorite zombie movie: "28 Days Later", or" I am Legend". "Fido" is pretty good, too.

Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? Anywhere, though proximity is definitely a factor.
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Either headed for the hills, a friend's place 20 miles out of town, or picking some easily defendable mini-castle in one of the local gated communities-- helpful hint- every one of those can be entered by punching in *911 on the gate pad-- the last people they want to lock out is emergency services-- a little beta from a firefighter buddy.

Got anyone I want to take with me? My wife, my boy, dogs, and the ER doc who lives upstairs (also a zombie fanatic).
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Less contact is probably better, though I will follow my intuition here.
How am I planning to get food and water? Short term (beyond my jump- stash) scavenging. Long term, hunting and small scale farming.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? Weapon of choice would be the LWRC M6A2. Also, the modded Smith and Wesson 15-22 I have is a great option in the event of the "slow zombie Romerez- stylee invasion".
