About Me:
When I started thinking way too much about zombies: 2006
What started my zombie fixation: Books and movies
Favorite zombie book: Zombie Survival Guide
Favorite zombie movie: Shaun of the Dead

My Survival Plan:
My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: I'll only listen.
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere?: Anytime they become a threat.
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else?: Somewhere else.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? : Hoof it.
Got anyone I want to take with me? : 4 others.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? : Hermit
How am I planning to get food and water?: Hunt, gather and distill.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? : Boomsticks.
Got a survival philosophy? : Whatever it takes.
Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? : Doubt it.

Generic BOB stuff:
  • Bag: Kelty Lakota.
  • Zippo and fluid, wicks, flints
  • various flints and magnesium blocks
  • various knives, favorite brand is Mora.
  • multi-tool
  • space blanket (durable kind, not the 1 use emergency ones)
  • waterproof stuff sack (2) for clothes
  • ultralight 2 person tent
  • ultralight sleeping bag, 20 degree rating
  • Crovel Tactical...you mean you didn't pay $110 for a shovel?
  • Sawyer biofilter + water bottle. Supposedly has a one million gallon lifespan if maintained properly.
  • gear to distill water
  • first aid supplies
  • 550 cordage (300 ft.)
  • bungee cords
  • splitting axe
  • a few sharpeners for axe and knives
  • cooking gear
  • 1 can of Tactical Bacon--impulse buy.
  • about a weeks worth of dehydrated food
  • gun cleaning supplies (boresnakes, CLP spray, rags)
  • probably a few other odds and ends
If you throw in ammo and a weapon, it would weigh about 40-45 lbs. Ultralight stuff is expensive, but worth it. Without it I would probably be looking at another 15 lbs.
