Hey, I think you're super!1

Ever since I played Resident Evil I have become obsessed with zombies and monsters. Every place I have ever lived, I have
evaluated its effectiveness as a fortress against a zombie/human attack. No place has ever lived up to the apartment I lived in
back in MO though, security doors, 0 second floor access except from the one entrance (easily defended) and a wide view of the
neighborhood to keep an eye on everything.. Also, MO had Raccoon City in the south part of the state. Not cool. Well kinda cool.
All the events and experiences in my life will be infinitely helpful during a zombie outbreak. Eagle Scout, medical training, a basic
understanding of battle field tactics and wilderness survival along with an active creativity that allows me to view everything as a
potential weapon, defense or trap against the undead and human threat.

The Professional's Preferred Equipment

When I was putting together my dream Gear, I was thinking about what I would be during during the outbreak. My immediate role.
Knowing my family I would have to be the one (along with my brother) to go out and find food, supplies and keep the zombies/humans at bay.
So I kept in mind that I would be mobile a lot, but also that I would need some moderate protection and be able to quickly access any area.

So I'll begin with the weaponry, amongst everything else the most important.

War Club
I chose this club because of its obvious lethality against a Zed skull. Especially tagged
in the back of the head. It worked for the Native Americans and it can work here as well.
The ball is 3.75 inches in diameter and the shaft is 2 feet long. The blunt spike is detachable
and can be substituted for other spikes. Easily wielded with one hand if necessary.
A simple and pitiless killing device.

Knife

This knife is a staple in outdoor survival. Useful in any situation.
10in in length, this will easily tear through anything in my way.
Machete

The machete. Need I say more? Just a bigger knife for jobs that require one.

These are all the melee weapons I plan to carry. Easily carried on the side or in my rucksack.
(Although placed for easy reach and use) Seems a bit much, but like I said it'll be just my brother
and I for a while protecting our family. So we gotta carry anything we may possibly need.

Now I'll showcase the firearms that make my first draft pick.

AA-12 Shotgun

The AA-12 shotgun. Automatic Assault 12 gauge shotgun. Need I say more? Primary Weapon.
Mk23 SOCOM
The Mk23 SOCOM. A .45 caliber pistol, silenced to avoid unnecessary noise. Secondary Weapon

These are my picks for firearms.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next are the tools I will carry with me. These will provide the means to acquire anything I'll need for my survival.

Pry bar

The pry bar, useful for breaking into buildings that are locked or barricaded.
Also, a good improv weapon if its out when I get attacked. This one has 5 adjustable angles
(
straight, 155 degrees, 130 degrees, 105 degrees, and 80 degrees.) and sports 300lbs of torque.
Very little will stand in the way of me.
Lockpick

A lock pick. A broken lock is a lock I can't use. So if able I would rather
pick the lock and have it to use if I must.
Also, breaking the lock or door will cause a lot of noise which may draw
unwanted attention. Designed to pick a lock in as little as one attempt.
Assault Pack

Since I have moved to Fl one of my new friends happens to be a scuba diver.
He told me that while the concept of my idea was good...those underwater packs
were a little more cumbersome outside the water. So I opted for this assault pack.

These are the tools in which I will survive the apocalypse.

So this is my car from the Upgrading your Vehicle page (formerly Zombify your Ride lol). Instead of making changes to the page, I would just add the changes to my own profile.
C6 GPMG
The C6 GPMG fires thes 7.62 x 51mm NATO round and is more easily found at gun shops in cities.
its standard rate of fire is 650 to 1000 rounds per minute (adjustable). Mounted near the roof hatch
on a bipod assembly will provide coverage for entire front of the vehicle. The hatch itself would be
located closer to the back of the vehicle above the seats so that the gunner is not struglling to stand on the console.

C9A1 Light MAchine-Gun
The C9A1 LMG fires the 5.56 x 45mm round and maybe be a littl harder to find than the 7.62,
but not as hard as some other ammunition types. Its rate of fire cyclic, 700-1,000 rds/min and
will serve to provide cover from the rear of the vehicle. The smaller size (in theory right now)
may allow 2 of these weapons to mounted in the back window, if nothing else they can equiped
to the gunners that can fire from the window in need be.
My Zombie-Mobile

Make:
Chrysler

Model: Concorde
Year: 1995
Purpose: Supply gathering and recon

Modification(s): My windows would be replaced with reinforced glass. This would prevent zombies from breaking the glass,
however they may accomplish such a task. This would also hinder the efforts of any would-be car-jackers.
The tires would be replaced with self-inflating tires. No they are not just for James bond or the military any more.
Check out this link to learn more. http://gizmodo.com/374006/self-inflating-tires-do-just-that
This would prevent
the classic movie scene where I'm running from some threat and get a flat. Hate it when that happens.

The trunk can hold more than enough supplies to make each trip count and would be strengthened with steel bars over the top and provide security. If the trunk lock breaks
the steel bar still holds it down. The headlights would be replaced with ultra bright LED lights to provide maximum visibility at minimal battery use.The grill would have a ram bar
to plow through the undead horde, store windows and drywall. The car can hold up to 5 people which provides more than enough man power to carry supplies and provide cover.
The top of the car would have an escape hatch to provide a safe way to exit the vehicle to fire upon enemies or escape. A CB radio provide communication to my home base
and other vehicles in the field. A GPS so I don't get lost and can be tracked by those at the home base. As a final last ditch precaution the car would be rigged with 5 pounds
of C-4 on a remote trigger. In the event that we are hopelessly doomed by the undead horde or must abandon the vehicle and can't return we can blow the car and any nearby threats.

I was in Iaq three different times wearing anywear from 85-120 lbs of gear in temps above 110. It sucks and you need water but you can get use to it. NEVER saciface protection. If it is a concern train for it. put on lyers of clothes and a back pack with some wieght and go for a hike. Start off with just minutes and work your way up to hours. Never thought of having a lock pick cool idea! Weapon wish list is cool but keep it simple. Will there be rounds for the weapon? Not saying for a month I'm saying you can find them for a year.
Do you find this valuable?
