Recent news:
-After weeks of wondering what i wanted to do a speech over for my oral communications class, i've finally decided on a topic: Surviving Z-day! My teacher loves the idea and can't wait for the end product.
-Finished my preperations for reinforcement of my dorm room. Materials are waiting in a location just off campus and a archtecture major helped with structural soundness.
-Montana site cleared as a second base in case local areas are to dangerous to be reasonable. Preperation started on supplies being transfered to the new site.
-Now have over 30 members in my z-day coalition. As well as that, there are 25 more in another campus near us who we can contact at anytime through satalite phones.

When I started thinking way too much about zombies: Around the 7th grade. I was assigned a paper that was to be two pages long, and over the course of studying for it i became fascinated with what i was discovering. I ended up writing a 10 page paper.

What started my zombie fixation: I'm going to have to say two things: First, when i was younger i was terrified of zombie movies. The reason for such an irrational fear is this. When i was 8, i wasnt allowed to watch "bad" movies, i.e. horror or violence. I got up late one night after my parents had went to sleep and turned on the t.v. and lo and behold, the original night of the living dead was on. Doing what any little boy would do, i turned it down so not to wake up my parents, turned the lights off and watched. After i was done, i stared at the t.v., mouth agape, shivering with fear. Nothing else could scare me like that and i wanted to know everything i could about the monsters. Secondly, i love resident evil (the games, the movies, and the books), and so far games such as this have been the only way to interact with the ghouls, albeit in a limited manner.

Favorite zombie book: I've read about six different resident evil books, and i've been looking for more zombie related literature, but sadly i can't seem to find it anywhere. The other day i did borrow a copy of Max Brook's "The zombie survival guide" from a friend and was enthralled by it, reading it in one sitting that very night. (After reading it i'm doing an informative speech for my oral comm. class on surviving the zombie apocalypse [i can't wait!])

Favorite zombie movie: I'm not going to say it was the best, but when i first saw night of the living dead as a kid, it scared me so bad i had nightmares for a year (not even kidding). There may be better movies out there, but nothing will ever be able to match that sheer terror i felt watching that movie.

Favorite quote in any zombie movie: "How many are there, Shaun?" Shaun: "........lot's" [Quote from Shaun of the dead]
