Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? Yuppers

Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Making my way to Colorado, if I am already there then I have succeeded!
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? Its 1845 miles doorstep to doorstep, unless I learn to fly I am gonna drive.
Got anyone I want to take with me? Dog, Wife, Kid
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Hermit initially, HAM radio after awhile
How am I planning to get food and water? I have a stockpile (enough for around a week, I know I need more) to get me home then its Farming time.
What’s my weapons of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? Glock 23, Savage 22lr, lever action 30-30 Marlin and a 12ga Mossberg 500. I dont plan on getting in deep enough sh*t to have to reload anything but the Glock. Got three mags right now and the Wife thinks its fun to reload them.

Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Very short term. Its nothing personall, I just dont trust you.
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? I dont think so....Get to the farm halfway across the country to live the simple life after the Z-poc. Sounds like a good movie to me though.
