About Me: When I started thinking way too much about zombies: 5 years ago What started my zombie fixation: Dawn of the Dead Favorite zombie book: World War Z and The Jakarta Pandemic (not about Zed but great book about survival) Favorite zombie movie: Have to say Zombieland I love the humor in it. Favorite quote in any zombie movie: Have to be Woody in Z land "Thank God for rednecks!" or the flashing "Cardio" sign in the beginning of Z land both give me a chuckle. My Survival Plan: My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: Tink, Lucky Reaper, My location: Midwest Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? Its about the same just makes it easier for me if it breaks on a coast Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Bugging out for sure If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? Convoy, pickups, semis, straight trucks, maybe a microbus. Lots of people lots of vehicles what they are is insignificant. Got anyone I want to take with me? People that don't want to die. Of course my family and friends come first but, anyone who's crazy enough to believe my plan will work is welcome. How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? I'm sure we will do some kind of broadcast for survivors if all goes to plan. How am I planning to get food and water? Grow crops raise animals use wells and fresh water sources. What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? AR-15 SKS 9mm (all in the safe at home along with a few .22s and a few 12 gauge shotguns) Would like a few longer harder hitting rifles .308 Norma or something of the like. I got my wish!!!!! Since the last time a posted on here I have expanded. So "The Safe" now holds the following: Bushmaster Carbon AR15, SKS, Springfield XD9, Double Barrel side by side 12 gauge Savage coach gun, Remington 870's one in 12 and one in 20 gauge, Single Barrel break action 12 gauge, Magnum Research .22, a few other .22s one of which is the Golden Boy in my pic, and finally the Mosin Nagant bolt action 7.62X54R, and a Remington 700 chambered in 30.06and topped with a rather spendy scope. MERICA :) Have a press and can make rounds for all the guns I own except for the .22s. I figure shooting for kills not as suppressive fire I have a good deal of ammo and materials to make much more. Once that runs out I can hope we have found some sustainable means of making more gun powder everything else is pretty simple. Got a survival philosophy? Shoot to kill: safety in numbers as long as there are rules and structure: engage the enemy from a distance. Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Absolutely more people means more ideas, more knowledge, more guns, more hands to do work, more shifts on watches. I will admit that it also means more mouths to feed, but in my plan hopefully I can work thru this. Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? Not exactly
