Kudos coming your way...1
Hey, I think you're super!2

Hi Guys (and Girls) this is still under construction so please bear with me, my spelling ain't great so please don't laugh at me....
About Me:
When I started thinking way too much about zombies:Unfortunately I have been thinking about Zombies (and werewolves, vamps etc) all my life (I'm a bit of a geek who loves table top war gameing and computer games), but at the beginning of 20011 a friend said 'would you survive the Zpoc' and i hate to say it my answer was 'NO,I'm Doomed' (I was a little out of it at the time), he had the same answer so we decided to look in to improving our chances, and then we found this place =)

I have been interested in warfare all my life, but have never joined (my mother would have never forgiven me), and as I have said I have been a avid tabletop war-gamer and role-play gamer (that's D&D, not the other type...) as well as RTS on the computer (any of the Total Wars, Black and White 2 etc), so even though I haven't had any real experience in combat (and I know I will never know till it happens, and I just hope I A. come out alive and B. I don't flee) I have a understanding of tactics and how to keep the masses in line by working in the public sector since the age of 16 (manly by being nice and constructive) but I wouldn't want to be the boss

I have also tried to look in to as many battles through out the years as I can (I was born in 1983 and started all this at the age of 7) and looked in to what weapons were used (but I'm no expert, it was a very ad-hock style of research), also because I'm in England I directed my research towards things I can legally have in this country (no guns, unless I want all the rigmarole of getting a shotgun licence) so melee weapons, bows and cross-bows

What started my zombie fixation: After The Question, I have been thinking about Zombies a lot I can't remember when it was asked but it was around the time of my birthday (5th of Jan if your wondering) in 2011, and have started to put together everything i need

Favorite zombie book:THE OFFICIAL ZOMBIE HANDBOOK(UK) The Ministry of Zombies (type that in to amazon to have a look) as well as The Zombie Survival Guide

Favorite zombie movie: ZombieLand (its awesome)

Favorite quote in any zombie movie: 'Enjoy the little things' Tallahassee

My Survival Plan:My “handle” should you look for me on the radio waves or web: Uzzgub or Uzz for short
My location: Hemel Hempstead, England (famous for the oil depot fire/explosion)

Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? My plan is really for any major break down in civil order (zombies are an extra) but its based on it starting somewhere else then spreading to my location. I feel that if the Zombie virus do's come about, then its got the highest chance of starting in China, USA or Russia,
But I'm not fool enough to think that the British ain't dumb enough to mess with some thing like that so I've made my plan for the SHTF event already being on these shores, but if it starts in a different country I will get longer to prepare

Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? For the first few weeks of 'The Panic' starting i intend to bolt and board up all doors and windows in the flat and ride out the first 2/3 weeks of 'The Panic' so that way most of the sheep/ twats/ chavs etc. will try and flee Hemel, get stuck in the huge traffic jams that happen around Hemel when ever there's a break down on either the M1 or M25 (if you live near London you will know what I mean) so they should (hopefully) lead most of the Z's away or be turned in to one and chase after the other sheep/ morons/ twats etc. that have no clue and are corpse walking, my friends know that the doors ain't going to be opened till 'The Panic' has died down, me and the wife runs out of food, or there's a fire. I WILL NOT let anyone in when the doors are shut, and forced entry will be meet with deadly force no matter who you are. But if I can I will try and contact family/ friends before the doors are closed to make some arrangements with them.

If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? The flat I'm moving to witch is the one I have planed to see out 'The Panic' in isn't viable for a long term fortress, where as the one I live in at the moment is more viable, but still has its drawbacks. So I will need to shift myself and the remaining supplies to the fortress of choice, (I have 3 in mind) I will scout all the fortresses before making up my mind on witch one to use, I will add links and stuff when I get the chance, but all of them are in the same town that I live in now, because knowing your surrounding's is the best way to survive, and there lots of animals that you can hunt (Deer, Munk-Jack, Pheasant, as well as things like dogs, cats, horses, and other birds) and because the town is built right on the edge of the green belt around London there's a lot of land that is already used for farming as well as parks and green spaces that can also be used for farming near by all the forts
The first is a flat that a friend lives in as the block combines the best bits of the other two forts
The second is heading back to my OLD flat a 3 story building where I would cut of the ground floor by braking the stairs so there's no access bar the way I make to get in.
The third is going to a warehouse that's beensolidly built with a good goodbeginningsof aperimeterset up,but this one I wouldn't try unless there was a lot more people in my group, as I don't know the inside of the building, but some of the people who I haven't listed do work there, so if they meet up with me I may give it a try

At the time of writing my immediate family live to far away for me to get to my fort easily, where as these people who are on the list are the ones i think that will A, survive B, live within 20 min's walk of my flat C, They have all spoken to me about what I have planed and are of a like mind as me, the reason why I went with the mums and dads is because some of my mates still live with there parents, whilst others live a few min's walk away from there kids, who are on the list.

There are a lot of others on the list that haven't been put on for different reasons (like they are my wife's friends), who I will check on when I re-open my doors but I'm not 100% bothered if they make it or not.

Now I know that some of you will scoffing at the amount of people but its for several reasons, first and the biggest all the people who are listed as mates are the people who I talk to A LOT about this kinda thing and we have all decided on our own plans for getting through 'The Panic' and then meeting up after the first 2/3 weeks to set up the fort, one of witch White_Devil (plus his family) live in so it will be fairly easy to meet up in a guarded location before moving to the chosen fort. We have all planed to have at least 1 extra week off food for every one who will be surviving 'The Panic' with so when we move to the fort we shall have some supplies with us.

The other reasons is because some people can go scavenging whilst others can guard the fort, do farming or any other tasks that need to be done, also that way we can know a lot more people around the town so that way other survivor's who are not part of the list maybe known to those who are, so that (hopefully) will cut down on fights for stuff, and could in-large our group

How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? I do intend to get some form of radio that i can listen out for any signals, I would like to pick up something like a CB radio but i don't think the wife would approve, and funds are low so may have to put that off, I have looked in to getting old taxi radio's, as I work for a taxi company, but they would only work for out works and thescatteredsafe house's I would like to get set up, because they are not a open net.

How am I planning to get food and water? I would like to get some of these http://www.savvyaboutsurvival.com/HEIRLOOM-ORGANIC-SEEDS/View-all-products.html but again I will probably have to wait till I get a garden (the wife again) but as soon as I'm in my new flat I will be stocking up on canned food, dryed food and everything else I can think of that will last

What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? Because I cant get hold of firearms (easily anyway) I'm having to go all melee, primary weapon will be my cold-steel war-hammer, I will then have as a back up will be the cold-steel trench hawk, with something else in my off hand (undecided yet as to what this should be, most likely a kurki or a machete) and a woodman's ax as my 2handed option, for long ranged I might invest in a crossbow but I will have to justify that to the wife and I doubt she would except Zombies as an answer.
*UPDATE*
The wife has now told me that when we move in to a house, not a flat then she wont mind me getting a riflelicence, but that will be in a few years from now (we have only just moved in to the new place =P)

Other ItemsI am saving up for a solar charger for my Ipod, and mobile phone and kindle (if I buy one) because I keep movies on my phone (and a few SD cards) and i want to keep a working camera. Ipod isobvious, and the kindle for survival books, novels and anything else I can think off. I have also got 4 thin pillows and 4 blankets in a zacumed sealed bag that fits in to a sports bag with some room left over for extra socks and underwear that can be dropped at any time, but will be usefull for when i get to my Fort. When I leave the flat i will also bring my stock of booze, and anything else usefull in my cupboards.

Got a survival philosophy? Trade is a must between the survivors settlements, but I will be wary of of outsiders (but never rude as you want them as customers)
Aiming to hook up with other survivors? Yes I will be willing to hook up with other survivors, as long as your willing to live by the rules of the fort then you will be welcome after a quarantine time periodnaturally

Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of?No, but I have taken on board many things from books, tv and this site
*UPDATE*
On the 3/3/2012 I moved in to my new GROUND floor =( flat with nice windows that start about waist height and span the whole room in EVERY room, thanks to my wife's love of open living with natural light, with slightly less green space around it with a higher population density AAARRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH
If I wasn't an Englishmen with a stiff upper lip I would cry, so now instead of being on the top (3rd) floor I'm now in the worst place to defend =.( but on the plus side I have more space to store supply's as its a bigger place
