About Me:
When I started thinking way too much about zombies: I can't recall, most likely the first time I saw Night of the Living Dead a long, long time ago.
What started my zombie fixation: No idea actually.
Favorite zombie book: Havent read that many books on the subject, but World War Z is a pretty decent book that is somewhat realistic on how our society would respond.
Favorite zombie movie: Dawn of The Dead from 1978, but the new DoTD is pretty decent too.
Favorite quote in any zombie movie: "When there is no more room in hell, the dead shall walk the earth."

My Survival Plan:
My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: Huh?
My location: Northern Sweden.
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? In my home town, better to be prepared for the worst (Although I havent really made a plan, except some guidelines).
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? I'd definiatly try to stay at home, but if the situation requires it, i'll be headed somewhere else. Preferably our summerplace.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? Bicycle, as it's probably going to be really crowded with crashed cars everywhere.
Got anyone I want to take with me? My family ofcourse, and try to tell my friends to get somewhere safe or where I/we are headed.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Radio.
How am I planning to get food and water? In nature, I got some basic survival skills and I can take care of myself.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? A .22 rifle we got at our summerplace, but any decent branch from a tree would get the work done, should the situation require it. A small Crowbar would be pretty good to keep around for both defense and breaking in somewhere or to use as a hammer.
Got a survival philosophy? Always be ready to improvise, as planning can only get you so far.
Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Oh yes definiatly, you can't go lonewolf, humans are social animals and you can always use someone to watch your back.
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? No not really, we will only know how the zombies/infected are like when the shit really hits the fan, so my plan is just to stay sharp and always think of any possibility that could arise on the run or while staying put.

VBDE Survival Scenario ; Your local hospital 0 Sep 9 2009, 10:49 AM EDT by VBDE

I was not quite sure where to put this thread, so I started it here.
Anyways, here goes the scenario ;

You were driving around in your car / walking with your dog / skateboarding (any means of transportation on the road or near it) in the inner parts of city, when suddenty a car crashes into you, and you fall unconscious.
Eight hours later and you wake up, now in a hospital bed, you were very lucky when the car smashed into you, so you have no broken bones, you are however quite sore from being hit, but all in all you're ok, and your everyday clothes lie on the closest chair.

Suddenly, you hear a very loud scream, you're not quite sure where it comes from, but it sounds like it's coming from outside your room.
Curious to what is happening, you step up from your bed, open the door, and you see what you didnt think was possible ; A very ravaged man has beaten down a nurse, and is chewing on her face!

Security comes really fast (within seconds) and try to restrain the man, but he bits the guards, everybody screams and you're not quite sure what is happening, and then you see more people, running from a room, who starts biting several other people, including the security guards.
Still in shock, one of these... infected people sees you, and starts a dash towards you, you get in, close the door just in time to hear the infected one bash on the door...

You got the clothes you're wearing on you and whatever you carry with you, whatever that could be inside a hospital room (any local one).
You did a headcount and aproximate numbers of infected "zombies" is between 10 to 15, you're not quite sure how fast someone who is being bit becomes one of them, but you're on your own in a hostile environment with barely anything with you...

So, what do you do?
Do you find this valuable?
