Ak-47 w/ 1800 rounds unfortunately would be hard to scav for where i live.
Remington 870 easy access to ammo great all around gun w/ scope for slugs. Wish i had a rifled barrel though.
Glock .357 sig great accuracy and penetration capabilities ammo also hard to find.
Mauser simply the most fun gun i have to shoot to bad ammo would be completely impossible to scav for. 8mm

Guns I'd like to own:
A 9mm Glock for easier to find ammo. At the top of my wish list is a M-1 Garand.

Survival Guidelines: Plans tend to fail, guidelines are flexible.
Unless i knew FOR A FACT that i had a better place to go I would stay in my area. My neighbor is a tool maker and his son is a welder, both great resources to have around. We both prepare for the worst. Living in a rural community with a low population density would help surviving quite a bit. There are 8 massive corn fields within walking distance of my house. Across from my house is a snooty country club/golf coarse/housing complex, I'm not the raiding type but these would be the first people id steal from if i had to. I also have well water running to my house. I'd like to own a generator as well to keep the supply of water coming. While many head to grocery stores id head to a pharmacy to get vitamins, if your eating less the biggest problem is malnutrition. Id also set up napalm traps around the area i sought to protect. A barn up the hill from my house would be a great lookout point as well as shelter for a large group of people. I also own a horse and my neighbors own three. This isn't so much a plan as a few survival points, but could easily be put into a steadfast plan.
