Me and My boys... Trip number 3 to Iraq

Blurry photo... That's me sitting down, center.. Will work on clearing it up.. This is from Trip number 2 to Iraq.

About Me:
When I started thinking way too much about zombies: Pretty much since I joined the Marine Corps but it is becoming ever more apparent to me that something like zombies can and will happen in time.
What started my zombie fixation: Realizing that science is getting closer and closer to human cloning and in my opinion will be the start of zombies... experiments gone bad...
Favorite zombie book: The Zombie Survival Guide of course but I like to read survivalist books as well as books dealing with past wars/ battles such as Gates of Fire
Favorite zombie movie: Zombieland
Favorite quote in any zombie movie: Someone's in danger of getting their hair pushed behind their ear.... and ...... Come get some Baby!

My Survival Plan:
My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: Honestly my first name will do.. That will be given out to a select few. Plus the radios that I have have Frequency Hop on them so it might be a little difficult to get ahold of me... I prefer face to face contact.
My location: Right now I live in North Las Vegas but stationed in 29 Palms, CA and if you know where that is... I'm sorry...
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? Anywhere really because I have a wife and son to worry about so I'll be immediately heading home to protect my family and home.
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Home and then eventually heading out.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? With a little bit of luck and.... just joking. I do have a plan but I also believe that a well thought out plan never happens that way. So I'll play it by ear and if my plan works then that will be great.
Got anyone I want to take with me? Close friends and wife and son. Anyone else wanting to join will be talked about with my immediate group and a decision will be made then.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? I prefer face to face contact... If you are friendly a show of force is not required...
How am I planning to get food and water? I have MRE's already set aside as well as other food and water purifying tablets and water filters
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? AR15...Yes...Lots and Lots of ammo... Close proximity... Tomahawk..Yeah I said it... Tomahawk
Got a survival philosophy? Same as my philosophy now... trust no one unless given a reason to trust them and the friends that are going with me have been friends for a long time and being EOD techs we all possess some very interesting skills.
Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Yes but joining my group will be a group decision since I value my wife and friends gut instincts.
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? Actually my plan comes from me talking to my friends and coming up with logical decisions.
A little background about myself: Enlisted in the Marine Corps when I was 18. Did my first 4 yrs as infantry at Camp Pendelton and then decided to get out. Shortly after realized that I didn't like the civilian life so I re-enlisted (retread) in the Marine Corps and did the next 6 yrs as artillary FDC (Fire Direction Control) and then decided that I needed something more so I moved over to EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) which is my current job. I have been in now for 13 yrs.

I am married and have been for 8yrs and I also have a son who will be 8 very shortly.

Other than that I guess not much to tell but if you have any questions feel free to ask. I'm not a shy person and will typically be very blunt and honest.

Welcome aboard. I was 0351 myself. Spent some time at the "Stumps" at Camp Wilson. Then moved up to Area 62 on Camp P for my last year before flipping over to the Blue Side to become a Corpsman. Still serving and have my SF-IDC tag.

Welcome to the site. I'm middling new myself, but its good to see people on here who actually have the kind of experience that a lot of others pretend to have.

Hey man thanks for the comment, and thank you for the service you provide to the greatest country in the world. My brother is a Sergent in the Army, was a cavalry scout now attached to different unit, and is currently is going back to Iraq. So I have the nothing but respect for all service men and women that protect me while I sleep. That being said, unless it's life or death, there's always room for a good jackass comment or two.
