When I started thinking way too much about Zombies: 1995/'96 Weapons: What started my zombie fixation: Night of the Living Dead (1990) and a SNES game called 'Zombies' Favourite Zombie books: World War Z, The Guide & Cell Favourite Zombie movies: Shaun of the Dead, the 28 ... later series, every Romero Dead film, NotLD remake, Planet Terror & Dead Set (I know it's a TV series, but it's damn good) Favourite Zombie games: Resident Evil series, Dead Rising & Left 4 Dead Favourite quotes from zombie movies: 'It has been confirmed that the bodies of the recently deceased are returning to life and attacking the livivng' (Newscaster, most zombie films) 'The attackers can be stopped by removing the head or destroying the brain' (Newscaster, Shaun of the dead) 'Swallow this' (Ash, Evil Dead II, just before blowing a deadites head off with his boomstick) 'Choke on 'em!' (Rhodes, Day of the Dead) 'I got bowels full of shit! Eat it!' (Patrick, Dead Set) About me: My name is Mike, I live in Birmingham, England. My hobbies include ZSDW, PS3, TV, movies, books & weapons. I have way too much spare time on my hands. Plan?: Bug in my house until The Panic subsides (I have enough here to last a couple weeks). Rendezvous with my group at our pre-determined location, move out to get what non-perishables & bottled water we can salvage safely, render only staircase in a block of flats unaccessible & wait until it all (hopefully) blows over. Anyone trustworthy and who can bring something useful is welcome to stay with me, currently just me & a few others will be there. I don't think most people will be able to implement their 'Survivor Colony' elaborate plan so I stayed simple. I might try to escape by river if it gets too bad, but I'm not too keen on it. Where I'm heading: (got this off flashearth.com, Microsoft VE) Latitude: 58degrees 28' 44.5" N Longitude: 1degree 44' 12.0" W Debbie! My sawn-off (*DISCLAIMER* it's de-activated, for intimidation only) Kukri Crowbar (no pic, but it's only a crowbar) KA-BAR (intend to replace with Buck 119 soon) Baseball bats Hatchet My crossbows and air rifles for long range until I'm lucky enough to come across a firearm I'm familiar with (gun store, dead/zed soldier or armed police) Improvised flamethrower made from a wire coat hanger, candles, a pump water gun and flammable liquid (these things look dangerous, danger=fun) Me: (I'll try and get some better pics, in all my gear) Gear: Keeping it simple on my person; Tactical vest Jacket Hoodie Jeans Tracksuit bottoms beneath jeans Boots or trainers depending on situation Belt Balaclava Flight goggles Gloves (right hand fingerless) Motorcycle gloves (if in high risk area) Watch Multi-tool Zippo lighter Flint & striker Crank flashlight & radio combo Hipflask of vodka Hydration pack (CamelBak) Gas Mask (only worn if needed) Neck gaitor Beanie hat (in the cold) Medium Nike holdall containing; Canned food & bottled water First aid kit & medication 1 full change of clothes Electrical & duct tape SAS survival guide (great book, I'd recommend) Batteries 50ft of paracord Baby wipes & TP Playing cards & dice Pocket knife sharpener Gerber flick knife Harmonica I'll carry the crowbar and KA-BAR on my belt, along with my kukri & hatchet. Put the zippo, torch, multi-tool, hipflask, SAS guide (it's pocket size), knife sharpener and playing cards in my pockets then have everything else at my flat or in the duffel bag. Note for anyone who is bitten: Do us all a favour and eat some lead candy If England had American gun law I'd probably get the below: Springfield XD-45 as an EDC AR-15 (tricked out as money permits) & a simple AK clone Mossberg 500 A decent revolver chambered for .357 Magnum, not decided on exact model Bond Arms SnakeSlayer .410 & .45 Colt Derringer
