About Me: What started my zombie thoughts: The interesting scenerio Favorite zombie book: Zombie Survival Guide Favorite zombie movie: Umm... L4D is technichally a movie... Favorite quote in any zombie movie: We just SCREWED our odds... My Survival Plan: My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: Zephyter0 My location: Granite Falls WA, US of A Pop: appx. 5000 I happen to be in an ideal position for zombie survival, considering I live in a small town called Granite Falls, WA in the the USA, Zombies: Not super strong, not incredibly fast, but moderately of both. Super sensitive, can hear and see about as far as regular people, but can smell up to a half mile away. They feel no fear, nor any pain, and can be killed by bleeding out, or having their heads blown off. They are able to spead their curse/infection through contact with their bodily fluids, such as saliva and blood. When infected, it takes about a day to show. Starting equipment (yes, I own all of this. I am also conveniently located near a bridge separating me from the town, and a river leading all the way up a mountain to the north on both sides of me.); Weapons: 12-guage pump-action shotgun with 100 buckshot shells, 22 calibur rifle, scoped, with 100 shots, Scoped 44. Magnum (Yes, I'm a fallout nut) with 100 shots, Steel Baseball bat, Machete. Armor: Three pairs of thick denim jeans (loose), thick leather gloves, heavy hiking boots, Two leather jackets, a neckbrace, and a motorcycle helmet. Other equipment: Vaccuum pump/sealer, Nintendo DS Lite, Plastic bags, Chess set, Backpack, mixed antiseptics, pennicillin, US Army Survival Manual, LED flashlight, BATTERIES, Binoculars, 30 lbs of food, about 30 belts (good for repairing/covering areas of clothing), Whetstone. (hopeful) Starting Party: Myself, three to five friends, parents, and brother. PLAN 1 (dependant on being in Granite Falls at the time) Offensive take: Day one: 1) Notice zombies in town or hear about it in some way. 2) Gear up and evacuate the town of survivors to near where I live out the highway 3 miles up the mountain. Days 2-4: Continue evacuation of town. Day 5: Detonate Bridge near home, sealing off a three mile area from the zombies, then detonate the rear bridge as well by any means possible. Day 7-12: Construct swing out bridge allowing access to the town. Day 13-Indefinate: Take self and possible party, geared up, across the bridge armed to the teeth and kill as many Zombies as humanly possible, pushing further and further into the town, then moving on in an epic crusade to destroy the zombie menace, setting up survivors at key choke points along the way and leaving our mark upon every post. fortifying and 'zombie proofing' routes we clear as we go along. This plan is the only plan I've seen factoring in not only one's own survival, but the betterment of the species as a whole. If nothing else, I believe that our survival means nothing if the species does not survive. I heard the minimum population to ensure genetic diversity and continued survival of the species is appx. 11000, and this plan attempts to ensure that just that happens. If anyone else has an offensive plan, please say so.
