About Me:
When you started thinking way too much about zombies: When I was bitten by one in kindergarten.
What started your zombie fixation: Well, it all started when I was attacked by zombies in kindergarten. I was saved by a secret government task force and taken to an underground facility via helicopter where I was given huge doses of some mysterious blue liquid via intravenous injection. The situation ended on a positive note when a man everyone called "the Chief Director" gave me a lollipop for my outstanding behavior and took me home in a big green truck. Actually I just remembered I wasn't supposed to tell anyone because it was our little secret...
Favorite zombie book: Che Guevara's Guerilla Warfare. Not exactly a zombie book, but a fountain of knowledge for any survivor.
Favorite zombie movie: NOTLD 1968
Favorite quote in any zombie movie: ...f*ckin' gangbangers who f*ckin' come in here in the f*ckin' house f*ckin' unin-f*ckin'-vited!... -Harrison, Undead (2003)

My Survival Plan:
Your “handle” should anyone look for you on the radio waves or web: "Dispatch" or "Sasha"
Your location: Downtown Mobile, Alabama
Is your plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? Well, I live in downtown Mobile. This area is surrounded by densely-populated ghettos. Not many options...
Will you be staying in your home or headed somewhere else? Staying home. I've got guns, ammo, and non-perishable food items aplenty.
If you're heading out, how do you plan to get there? My girlfriend has an Isuzu Trooper. We could take that or I could ride my BMX bike if my destination is closer.
Got anyone you want to take with you? My girlfriend Katie.
How will you communicate with the outside world, or do you plan to go the hermit route? I will definitely become a hermit once the **** hits the fan. Too much attention is a very bad thing. I will however monitor the emergency scanner and all available local frequencies. If I think you won't complicate matters for us, then I will definitely contact you.
How are you planning to get food and water? Stockpiles. This is hurricane country. Always be prepared.
What’s your weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? I have several "melee style weapons, including a bat and a katana. I also have a couple guns. My ultimate preference is my M1911A1 .45 Auto Pistol. I use custom 10-round mags loaded with hollowpoints. I have lots of ammo. I am also a very proficient shot at 30 yards. I have materials for Molotovs as well, in case we get overwhelmed.
Got a survival philosophy? Always be prepared. Oh yeah, and whoever doesn't shut up is getting duct-taped and thrown in the closet until they calm down. We don't need any hysterical cops or old women screaming, crying, and attracting the horde.
Are you willing to hook up with other survivors? Yes, but only if they have no central leader. I am an egalitarian and a collectivist of the strictest sense, so power-hungry egomaniacs do not fit into my formula for survival.
Is your plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? My plan is based on my knowledge of the works of Che Guevara, Butler Co. Pennsylvania Sheriff Conan McLellan, and Dr. Grimes of LUDLOW.

My Bug Out Bag (BOB):
A few of my hobbies are hiking and back-country camping, so my BOB is an olive drab framed G.I. ALICE pack with the following:

01. Three pairs of SmartWool hiking socks
02. A change of pants (Dark brown North Face waterproof convertible hiking pants)
03. Thermal underwear shirt and pants. I prefer the wool sort that "wicks" sweat. You'll appreciate this when you're hiking in the cold.
04. Mechanix brand gloves. Insulated, yet thin enough to use any tool with precision
05. 3 water bottles
06. A portable charcoal-filtrating water bottle +Iodine water tablets
07. A package of energy pills (I use DREN, which is a workout supplement with tons of caffeine. I weigh 185lbs. One pill at 7AM keeps me going until 5PM, as compared to my normal 6-8 cups of coffee.)
08. Duct tape. You never know, man. Also, you can take the cardboard core out and squeeze it together to conserve space.
09. A zippo lighter and a small bottle of fuel.
10. Street map of Mobile, Alabama (my home city)
11. Lensatic compass
12. LED flashlight (be choosy-some flashlights use bigger, heavier batteries and some consume batteries way too quickly. I personally use a Rayovac Sportsman Extreme LED lantern. It takes four AA batteries that I put in last year and after hundreds of hours of operation, it is still just as bright as the first time I used it [which is REALLY bright]) +extra batteries.
13. G.I. Camo ripstop poncho
14. Binoculars
15. Portable radio/scanner
16. A 12" Ka-Bar knife with a full tang
17. Diamond sharpening stone for the knife
18. Flare gun with a few spare flares
19. Aspirin
20. A dozen Protein/Energy bars

First Aid Kit attached to the side of the ALICE Pack includes:
01. Gauze Roll
02. Gauze tape
03. Iodine in a small squeeze-bottle
04. Neosporin
05. Ace Bandages
06. Tweezers
