My location: Small country town in Victoria
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? If the panic has not set in I will head to my BOL. If the panic has set in then it will be bug in time. When things calm down we will move out to our BOL. By car or foot, what ever is possible
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Headed somewhere else.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? By car before the Panic happens...hopefully. If we cant get there (BOL) by car then i will have to take a long hike.
Got anyone I want to take with me? My family, mabye some friends if i can contact them.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? I will need to purchase a good radio, untill then i have no real means of contact with the outside world.
How am I planning to get food and water? I'm going to my a farm. It has two dams, one large underground water tanks, some smaller metal water tanks, and a river running through the property.
What’s my weapon of choice? 30.-30 lever action rifle. Not 18 yet but have some experience with guns.
Do you need to reload that thing? Yep
Gotta plan for that? If i dont have time to reload it will go to my secondry weapon (pinch bar)

Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Yes, but only with people I know until i have set up my BOL. Then each differnet situation will be assessed individually
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? My plan is based on what i have read on this site and some commen sense.

BOL

Our BOL is located on the outskirts of a Victorian rural town, it is a 200 acre hobby farm. It is somewhat concealed from the road.

It has a garage full of all the tool we will need, a firewood shed almost full, one large water underground water tank. Smaller water tanks. Two damns and a river running through it.

Food is plentiful. We have 20 head of cattle, samba deer live in the area. Lots of rabbits around. The river has a healthy population of trout however I’m not sure wether stocks will remain with out the constant stocking by the government. We also have some small patches for growing veggies.

Weapons: At the farm we have, on scoped bolt action .22 with a decent amount of ammo. Winchester .30-30 lever action with some ammo. 20 gauge shotgun limited ammo. 32-20 lever action, .22 pump action.

We will most likely have a single shot 12 gauge and an air rifle.

My plan consists of joining my cousins

Plan A

If we for see the zombie apoc (before the general public we will move to our BOL) from their we will prepare, may head into the town (depends how far the zombies have spread). Fortifications will be made, veggie’s planted.

Plan B

If we do not get out of the city quick enough we will Bug in until the initial panic is over. Any wood we have will be used to cover the most vulnerable windows and all the curtains closed.


All the party will meets at my house at it has been deemed to be the most easily defendable. They will bring any barricade material they might have, food and weapons of course. At this point I may try to contact my friends, warn them to stay at home and NOT to head to any supermarkets. Some I might consider to tell them to come to my house. I know we will have one 410 shotgun with limited ammo and other melee weapons.

After 2-3 weeks of bugging in we will send scouts out to check the roads and asses what way of escape to out BOL foot or car). If forced to leave on foot it will be very difficult and slow because some of the party members will be slow.


Fortifications

The property has a meter high fence surrounding it, with it is three planks with gaps between each plank of wood. The fence will be our inertial defensive perimeter but our first job will be to build a secondary defensive structure.

When we have the chance we will raid the wood mill and get all wood we can get to further improve our defences.

We may consider moving our base to around the back of the farm if we have the materials to make a new house. (For anyone doubting our ability to do that my grandfather is a carpenter and also a gunsmith and a farmer) There is a lot more open land to farm and build better fortifications etc.
