Favorite zombie movie: The original 'Night of the Living Dead,' 'Shaun of the Dead' and '28 Days Later,' perhaps not technically a 'zombie' film, but a fantastic concept and one we should concern ourselves with!

My location: London or Manchester (depending on whether the attack is during term time or the holidays), then further out into the countryside.
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? So far, it is quite specific to the event happening in one of my home towns... need to broaden my horizons!
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Dependent on supplies, hopefully barricade the home until the main panic dies down (the living public in panic can be just as dangerous as zombies) - then move on.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? Hopefully by car, but walking will be fine if done during quiet times with very aware people and weapons.
Got anyone I want to take with me? Only a small group, no more than 10 people. And they should all be people I trust - strangers can be too risky!
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Well, all members of my party will be bringing phones and chargers, and also trying to check the internet and radio if we get into a car or break into a house for defence/supplies.
How am I planning to get food and water? Bring supplies, raid houses and shops on the quiet, learn how to get water and food from natural surroundings. If a safe enough house is found in the countryside then growing my own could be a good option.
What’s my weapon of choice? Something like a cricket bat, fairly lightweight but strong enough to take them out! Also would be carrying various other knives on my person, would try and get some firepower on my side, but it is difficult to obtain in England! And although melee combat is probably more dangerous with zombies, and only works short-range, I would be more likely to defeat them that way as my aim with a gun would probably be a waste of ammunition!

Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Possibly, but only very small groups who could be useful or who can be trusted.
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? Not that I'm aware of!
