About Me:
When I started thinking way too much about zombies: When I was old to watch a local Saturday late night horror movie show called "Creature Feature" hosted by Dr. San Guinary, who seemed to be a very zombie like character. Loved his campiness and, of course, his show featured some really creepy old horror movies.
What started my zombie fixation: My first Romero movie, Dawn of the Dead.
Favorite zombie book: The Walking Dead comic books are really well done! Favorite zombie movie: Return of the Living Dead 1985
Favorite quote in any zombie movie: "Braaaaaaaaains!!!"
My Survival Plan:
My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: AddyDaddy, which is a nickname I got a few years back. My blog from the perspective of a zombie character I created is
http://freakindeadjed.blogspot.com. Please check it out.
My location: The Midwest Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? Probably not.
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Staying at home if I can grow veggies in the garden for food and can find a water source, otherwise I would have to get the family and hit the road.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? SUV or RV.
Got anyone I want to take with me? my wife, our God children, my father-in-law and our pets, if possible.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Short wave radio
How am I planning to get food and water? Garden at home for food or looting on the road if necessary. Water may be a challenge, unless the I can find a fresh water pond or lake and find a way to boil out the contaminents.
What’s my weapon of choice? Guns and ammo, asp batons, knives, machete and my own keen sense of trouble. Do you need to reload that thing? Guns of course. Gotta plan for that? To find ammo along the way at gun stores otherwise, just do the best with what we have for weapons. Got a survival philosophy? Not really other than doing my best to keep me and my family safe.
Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Possibly.
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? Of course, they are usually the best sources of education. Here are a few movies I have noticed to have good info: Most every good zombie movie like Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and the Road was very good movie even though there was no zombies, just cannibals in the conflict with the heroes of the movie.
