About Me: When I started thinking way too much about zombies: The first time I watched Army of Darkness lol! It is so different from any other zombie movie out there and I LOVE it lol. Thus, the obsession began! What started my zombie fixation: A long time ago, and it seems to have only gotten stronger. Favorite zombie book: Max Brooks: The Zombie Survival Guide Favorite zombie movie: Shaun of the Dead! Classic! Favorite quote in any zombie movie: TOO many choices. Hmmmm, maybe "Nut up or shut up" Zombieland, or something about Twinkies :) My Survival Plan: My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: Cupcake-n-Kiwi My location: None of your business! We have a rendezvous point already in place that is perfect, and I don't want to to jeopardize anything lol! Seriously though, if at all possible, we will go to my fiance's gpa's home in Florida, which we are very near currently. It is facing the lake, we will be secluded, on a well system, and quite a formidable hold up. It is very large, which can be a huge downside, but the 2nd/3rd floors are easily bottle necked on stairs, and can be cut off from the rest of the home. Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? We have different plans in place for different situations. Our main plan, if possible, involves travel, and is effective no matter where we are. Especially since I am guessing I wont get a Zombie Siren that goes off and gives me advance notice lol! A plan should not be totally dependent on a certain location and situation, we will only survive if we are ready for zombies ANYWHERE. Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? We all have one task to complete before meeting at the hold out. If not, then we will be headed to our rendezvous point. Hopefully this works out, but my home is already prepared for a lengthy hold up. If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? We own trucks, ATVs, a boat, and motorcycles to assist us on the trip to our location. Everyone has a vehicle, map, plan, and is ready :) I guess the situation, where we are, and who is with me will determine our means of transportation. Got anyone I want to take with me? We have a certain group of individuals that are ready, and everyone seems to specialize in a different expertise. A short explanation for instance: My fiance is a weapons specialist, on a federal srt, and has a huge tactical, and survivalist background. This will come in handy, and he has taught me many wonderful techniques. My brother, if he makes it, is a fit guy, a natural leader, and a great problem solver. One very close cousin of mine is planning on meeting with us, and he is an excellent welder, and can repair and rebuild any electrical item. So there are definitely certain people I would love to have, but you never know who will be eaten! How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? We have radios, Cb's, etc that we will use to communicate if nec.. We have all spoken in great detail about this topic. Who do you trust? It is difficult to trust anyone in our world today, and how will I trust a stranger after an Apocalypse has occurred? It all depends on the situation, but outsiders will not be openly welcome at first. How am I planning to get food and water?Stockpiles are in place for our initial days of apocalyptic survival. Yet, you never know what situation will end up playing out. I believe most of us already have water purifiers in our bug out bags, but I will be wary as to what is really safe. Will probably need a guinea pig lol. What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? We happen to be very fortunate in the gun department, and wont need any ammo or weapons once the Zombies come. I honestly believe my weapons will end up being more important for protection against idiot humans than zombies, if the hold out goes as plans. We have a ridiculous stockpile of guns, ammo, tactical necessities, etc. This is one dept. we have prepared for to the point of overkill lol. Got a survival philosophy? Yep, don't die. SURVIVE! Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? This is still such a debatable subject with our group. I do not believe we will hook up with other survivors eventually, and it may HAVE to happen. Obviously if there is every a truly beneficial opportunity that arises from the addition of others, then this could change. Nevertheless, we will not be actively looking for others, and shoot first before questions are asked. Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? Every bit of knowledge you see and experience helps you plan for the future. I hope to read , read, read on this wiki and really gain some great knowledge. We are nowhere near as prepared as we want to be, and I can learn something new everyday! Anyone who thinks they are 100% ready will die lol. You have to constantly adapt and add new additions to your current plans for survival to give yourself the best chance at survival.
