Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? They can be anywhere, at any time.

Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Ideally, stay in my home. Otherwise, have an escape plan.

If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? Currently: automobile. Possibly in the future: either a personal pick-up truck with a camper, or an abandoned vehicle I can use.

Got anyone I want to take with me? My father, brother, aunt, and dog.

How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Any communication will be done in the following order, depending on how long it takes for that form of communication to cease:
Internet,
Cellular telephone,
Landline telephone,
Closed-band radio,
Ham radio,
Transistor radio,
Smoke signals and signs.

How am I planning to get food and water? 1 month's supply of food at all times, 1 month's supply of water at all times. If there's still food and clean drinking water left, raiding establishments for what's needed. 1 bottle of bleach and eye-dropper, and one large plastic trash-bag and bucket. 1 rifle (with ammunition), fishing-net, and fishing-line to make a snare/tripwire. Everything else can be made by hand, from surrounding materials.

What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? I have four cheap P.O.S. store-bought swords; which I plan to use only as a last resort. I have a Pakistani dagger and a survival knife. I also have a .22 rifle.

Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? If necessary.

Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? No. It's based on observing riots, the effects of illness on certain individuals, and the accepted forms of zombiism that currently exist. I also have basic combat training, my father is a veteran of the Vietnam War, and I've previously lived on the streets.
