My Journey into the world of zombies began when my good friend first had me play a zombie game. After that he started to become slightly obsessed and as time went on so did I. And as of some time in the middle of last night... I am now full-fledged obsessed. As I write this it is 5:44AM on July 16th, 2009. I have not read any zombie books yet, but this is going to change. I'm actually thinking of going to the library some time to pick up a book on zombie survival! I hope to one day be able to write a zombie book!
Wait, I have read a zombie book! But it isn't the type of zombies you ussually get. It is a book by Stephen King (Master of all things horror) called, "Cell". It is about a cell phone signal that is sent out, and everyone talking on a cell phone is instantly, "Infected" by this signal that messes up their mind. They aren't undead, but attack other people insanesly, and over time evolve into a smarter intelegence, and even gain telepathic powers. Now for movies, I haven't really seen many zombie movies, and the ones I have seen (I'm sorry) were horribly lame. Aulthough my zombie obsession did not begin until after the last time I watched one, so maybe that has changed! (Shawn Of The Dead was amazing though)
To get a hold of me during a zombie attack, text me or msn me, but as soon as the internet and cell towers are down you won't be able to contact me, we have no radio of any sort, authough we really do need to get one! You never know when zombies will come out of nowhere for the first time ever!

I am located out in the middle of the wilderness, in an area where not as many zombies would flock to (if we get Rage zombies that is), but my house has windows in every room, so it would not make a good safehouse, it is also halfway down a hill, so it isn't a very good look out spot. Bonuses are it's surrounded by feilds so you can see zombies coming (in daylight anyway) and there is a barn with a very secure basement that could be quickly turned into a safehouse. There are just two doors to fortify and a few small windows to berricade, and the rest is concrete. If they can smell through walls though there is a threat of them tearing through the wooden floors of the upper area of the barn above. But all around, it is a good place to have in case of zombie invasion!

My plan in the event of a zombie invasion is in the event of a global zombie epedemic...the zombie apocolypse! It will be a rough go, but with perciverance, hopefully me and everyone I'm with would survive... Okay, maybe not. It all depends.

Now as much as I would like to stay here in my little house or out in the basement of my barn, the sad truth is that there is not enough food here to last, and there is not a place where I could attain suplies. Now I know the intelligent thing to do would be to get out of populated areas in the case of a zombie attack, but it would really suck dying of starvation because you were too scared to go out and face the zombies.

Now if I'm alive, my mother is most likely alive too, and she would drive me to my friend's house who is about a 5 minutes drive away, we would make sure we bring as many blunt objects with us as we can for protection, but we have no guns here. And I can't get any in preperation, so I just have to make due with what I have! When we reach my friend's house, I try and pick her up. We have a van so we can fit a lot of people. I would then head off to collect as many of my friends as I can, depending on how risky the situations are. Never leave a man behind, I would die for my friends. One friend I would NEED to pick up is the one who got me into zombies in the first place. In the event of a zombie apocolypse, we will be together no matter what!

If any friends have any radio devices, then by all means I would use them, I know one of my friends at least has a walky talky, so that coud be a small help. Communication will not be my first priority in the event of a zombie attack. You can't just hide and hope the army will save you, you need to take action!

Food and water. Well the hope is that we could drive off to a more populated place where we could lock ourselves in the nearest Food Basics, but realistically, if we;re alive then so must be many other people, and competition over food is not a battle we want to get into. There is a lot of land to live off of down here, and I beleive that with our country knowledge we could actually live off of the land. We even have chickens here at my house, aulthough it would really suck if the zombies came by and ate them all or turned them into zombie chickens... I wonder if zombie meat would be wise to eat... hmmmm.... no, probably not.

After spending a few weeks on the wiki and searching the web, I think that the weapon I would want to have in terms of melee would be the Indian War Club. Cold Steel's version of this weapon looks like the best possible choice for close zombie encounters. Right now for guns I'm looking at is a Remington Model 700 XCR, because up here in Canada, I don't want to be in winter conditions and have my gun jam up on me. Just so things are clear, I have still never fired a gun in my life.

My survival philosophy is simply this, survive. If something you do will get you killed, don't do it. Don't take risks you don't need to.

Out here in hick country, everybody knows everybody. I would hook up with someone I trusted. But not someone who is demanding or has a zombie bite-mark on his next. They can stand outside and yell I don't care, they are not coming in!
And finally, my plan is based on my knowledge of zombies in general, and the area to which I am given, nothing more. My zombie OBSESSION however is based on my friend and zombie videogames, so I guess ultimately it could be based on those, because let's face it, there would be no plan with no obsession.
