I started thinking a lot more about the possibility of Zombie Apocalypse after Dawn of the dead and Land of the dead came out. I don't read zombie books cuz that would just keep me up more than a movie would. Favorite zombie movie is Land of the Dead cuz it shows the world after the first wave of Zombies and how ppl live." Don't forget to kill Philip!"

My plan is based on most disasters but geared toward viral infection.
I will hold up in the mountains that surround my hometown. far away from the larger population. The less ppl the better! I will take an suv to my location, then hike up as far as I can. Unless its a natural disaster then I will stay near the truck until I've built a proper shelter. I will bring my husband and kids. If still alive as many family members as I can get. I am kind of leaning toward the hermit plan. Humans are jerks and I'm not sure I trust that some dumbass I pick up won't get me or my family killed. I'm pretty handy in the woods so for the most part I would rather hunt and gather then get food in a zombie filled town. I have a few weapons of choice in mind for Z-day. 1st is a shotgun, large damage area, lots of easy ammo. We also have springfield 45. not as easy to find ammo for post Z-day but anything helps. Last of all, for close combat or run out of bullets is my S.O.G. Tactical Tomahawk, now that will split some zombie heads open like ripe melons!
My survival philosophy is stay away from largely populated areas! the more ppl that lived there the more zombies will likely be there. and zombies kill by swarms and sneak attacks. So set up a perimeter every time. Never reach in where u can't see and check areas in teams! None of this lets split up so different zombies can eat us easier crap. Am I willing to hook up with other survivors...? Maybe, safety in #'s and all that. But only if that person seems reasonably sane. Don't think I will hesitate to tie u to a tree or even shoot u in the head if u look like ur gonna be any danger to me or my family. There always seems to be some crazy person in zombie movies that f--ks everyone else over by letting the zombies in or not telling anyone they have been bit. My plan is based off of watching a lot of zombie movies and saying you know if they had just done this they would have lived! ;-)
My Survival Plan:
My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web:
My location:
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere?
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else?
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there?
Got anyone I want to take with me?
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route?
How am I planning to get food and water?
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that?
Got a survival philosophy?
Am I willing to hook up with other survivors?
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of?
