When I started thinking way too much about Zombies: I was about 9 (maybe 10 but I doubt it) yrs old. I saw my first zombie movie the 1990 remake of "Night of the Living Dead." The scene that burned itself into my brain was when the zombies ate the cooked remains of "Billy-Bob" (can't remember character's name) and his girl when they had shot the lock on the gas tank. It scared me like no other monster had in any movie. To this day zombies are about the only movie monster that give me the creeps after I've watched the movie (them, and the things from The Ring, and The Grudge - whew! I don't know why, but my brain doesn't like things moving unnaturally...they may get me by crawling at me, but they'll wade through my feces to do it).

What started my zombie fixation: My fear that I got from the movies. I lived on a farm, and sometimes had chores that I did at dusk, or I played outside as long as there was daylight. When the last bit of sun set, or it was dark outside - the hair on the back of my neck would raise. I was also in cub/boy scouts, and would get zombie heebee jeebees while camping. I decided the best way around it was to watch as many zombie movies and read as many zombie books as I could. So I did. Zombies still gave me the creeps, but I loved them for it (it was sort of like: "I paid to get scared, and these are the only guys that can do it"). They've been the part of my worst nightmares, and yet I can't get enough of them (which would change I'm sure in a world plagued with them). In fact, a friend of mine and I started making short films last year, we are in the editing phase of a zombie/comedy (a zomedy!) film I wrote, produced, and starred in (I'm not vain, but we don't have an abundance of actors, and have to do it ourselves if it's going to get done). My fixation on survival plans came with reading a book called "The Zombie Survival Guide." After reading that, it became a scenario puzzle for my brain to work out when I was bored (how would I handle this or that, what would I do with such and such), and although I'm sceptical I'll ever need them (scout: always be prepared), I think I have some very good plans.

Favorite Zombie book: comic: The Walking Dead (I strongly recommend this for enertainment).

Favorite Zombie movie(s): Dawn of the Dead (original and remake), Shawn of the Dead. 28 days later.

Favorite quote in any zombie movie: So many! But here's a great one. Shawn of Dead - Shawn is handed a teather ball pole and says "YES" - with a look of savage joy on his face. Swings it around and hits the zombie on the head with the ball and turns around shaking his head and says "No, I'm sorry, It's rubbish." ~ God, the brits are comedy geniuses.

My score and score summary on the non-lame zombie survival test: Survivor

You scored 83% survivability and 50% kickass-ability!

My test tracked 2 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 97% on survivability
You scored higher than 4% on kickass-ability - *That's fair, I don't plan on engaging in altercations with the metabolically challenged if I can help it.
