Ironhand,
you do know that the symbol you chose is the patch for the US Army 46th Infantry Division, Michigan National Guard unit, nicknamed, "The Iron Fist"

Do you find this valuable?

I didn't realize it was a national guard unit, but it was a WW II ghost unit.

That's interesting.

As a 'ghost unit' it had a different patch. Cool all the same. It has that 'survivors unite' look about it.

I just found that. that's interesting as I have several army patch books that show it as only a WW II ghost unit and nothing about it being currently used by Michigan's National Guard. I will have to do some more research : )

I liked the literal pictorial translation of my nick and have used it for years. it's easier than explaining "ironhand" or "ironhand mission" that I take the name from.

thanks

check this site out and scroll down to the 46th Div

http://www.usarmypatches.com/Div%2041-50.htm

It also has a blurb about the 'ghost' div patch
