When I started thinking way too much about zombies: Always loved the idea of a zombie apocalypse but recently its become an obsession!
What started my zombie fixation:Mainly films and games such as Dawn of the Dead and L4D
Favorite zombie book:Don't really have one, at least that contains zombies in the sense that this site refers too.
Favorite zombie movie: Resident Evil series plus Shaun of The Dead. Can't really pic a top one but thats the main group.

My Survival Plan:

My location:northern beaches, Sydney, NSW, Australia

Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere?No plan is dependent on anything, but for the sake of argument I will say whole world infection.

Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else?I'm getting out of dodge ASAP, Sydney is this countries largest city, and houses approximately 1/3rd of the national population, so i already have an appropriate vehicle and a BOL that is accessible from the northern side of greater Sydney, the area in which i live, thus bugging out should be no problem as I will be ahead of most of the people heading north already.

If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there?Via car, got a fully moddified Mitsubishi Triton that is used for desert and bush touring already so it can take a serious beating!

Got anyone I want to take with me?Family and the dog. If I can get my friends together into a convoy I will do that too.

How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route?Outside world communication via the internet and via the CB radio in the Triton.

How am I planning to get food and water?Take it with me, plus purification tablets and places that I can raid along the way.

What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that?Weapon of choice is currently my viking sword for self defense, but I have a plan on how to raid the gun-store already, plenty of ammo and bolt actions plus shotguns up there. take as much ammo as possible and a few shot guns and rifles with sights.

Got a survival philosophy?Don't go looking for trouble, cause you will find more than you bargained for.

Am I willing to hook up with other survivors?Most definitely! Power in numbers.

Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? No this is purely a Jay Stromie creation, yet it is similar to a few ideas that others have had.

I read that you plan to raid a gun store, i was thinking that because considering the even ******** gun laws you have in Australia than Canada, I'd assume that they are few and far between so do you live close to one?

Even if you do i would recommend that you get a shotgun/hunting rifle "for sporting purposes" so that you will at least have something incase you don't get one in the raid

What does everyone else think?

Okay so here it is.

I am designing a small fortress made from concrete buildings and Hurricane fencing walls and gates.

Now the idea of this is to be realistic and not like the Bar. So there will be a few things that I will be needing advice on. But first here is the basic layout:

Inner compound has 5 buildings: 1 Main Fortress in the centre, which has a tall tower with a snipers nest at the top, plus 4 bunkers towards the 4 corners of the fortress. The bunkers are half sunk underground as is the fortress.

All these buildings are connected by a series of underground tunnels which also link into an underground garage area.

WHAT I NEED:
How many people should i design the compound for, as i want to get as many people as possible into it, plus anything else you can think of really.

This is meant to be a "serious" constructing plan, and would be completed pre-zday so all the buildings and tunnels would be made from concrete.

Designs to follow once completed. I am aiming for approx. 60 people at the moment so use that as a base for your figures.

other than that go nuts my friends!!
