When I started thinking way too much about zombies:
About 5 years ago I started having this reocurring dream. When it began it started out as one small clip and I'd wake up then it got more and more detailed. It always starts out with me in my old room at my parents house. I'm living on my own right now and have been doing so for quite some time now (going on 3yrs.) I'm waiting in the virtually dark room with my sword (collector, fanatic, whatever) and there is a female figure in my bed asleep. It's like I'm waiting on something. Suddenly these things start pouring up the starewell to the room and the next thing that happens is I flash forward to my mothers room. She is reaching through the windows of her 1st floor bedroom with a pot or pan or something smacking away hands reaching out for her. She looks at me and screams for me to start the car which is parked in the garage. The next thing that happens is I'm in a familiar backyard of a friend trying to move undetected through the neighborhood by means of hopping fences (guess the car shat on us i don't know.) Then it flashes forward again and I'm with other people including some reamining family members and who I think is my daughter (just older) in a Shipyard with these huge warehouses and containers. The only shipyard within a 15-20 mile radius of here is Detyen's shipyard and they are a major exporter of military equipment (Tanks, Humvee's, weaponry etc.) It's all manufactured here locally and shipped through Detyen's and bordered by the Charleston Naval Weapons station.
What started my zombie fixation:
When the dreams began the first thing I did was consulted a psychologist to ensure my sanity was still in tact (my mind is fit as a fiddle and I actually have a higher IQ than oroginally expected LOL.) The obsession began from there...I've looked into everything zombie and demonoid for an explanation of why, or how it will happen or what these things are...I've talked with spiritualists (priests, pastors) I've tried divination (tarot, Quijja) and the further I go down the rabbit hole the more deep things get.
Favorite zombie book:
Day by Day Armageddon by J.L. Bourne....I've read a lot of Zombie fiction and Apocalyptic fiction and I found a lot of myself in the main character of the book. It's written in journal format which is nice because it chronologically breaks down from before it happened to after the plague and what the end result was. Perfect piece of work.
Favorite zombie movie:
C'mon now...If George Romero didn't make it or orignate the foundation ideas than I'm not feeling it.
Favorite quote in any zombie movie:
CJ's final words in "Dawn of the Dead" the remake, right before the bus is over runned with the undead. He spends his 2nd to last magazine and realizes his time is up so he locks and loads his last magazine, shoots a flare to ignite it as the zombies swarm around him he says "F***cking figures" then fires a round into a propane tank and becomes incinerated as it explodes inside the bus taking out a mass of the undead so that his friends can board the boat and sail away to "safety." LOL i love that part because that is how I find myself meeting a predestinate end in a world filled with the undead. I would have it no other way.
