Kudos coming your way...1

When I started thinking way too much about Zombies: A friend of mine brought the game Dead Rising over to my house, and shortly afterward I chanced upon Dawn of the Dead on television.
What started my zombie fixation: After the game and the movie, I looked into more zombie-related topics on the Internet. Became interested in hosting a zombie walk. (Still want to accomplish that goal)
Favorite Zombie book: Zombie Survival Guide, of course. =D
Favorite Zombie movie: Night of the Living Dead (Original)
Favorite Zombie movie quote: "...They're dead...they're all messed up..." -A dude from the original Night of the Living Dead
My Motto: The Zombies aren't going to kill themselves. Fight, rather than die hiding. Also... Prepare for the scary fast, shrieking, brutal zombie. If your ready for them, your ready for the classic undead as well.
Worst Zombie Fear: Infection spread through insects.
My Plan: I really don't plan on hiding at all. As in Night of the Living dead, I would try to get a very large group of people together then wipe out as many of the undead as possible. If bitten, you have all the more reason to pursue this before you turn. Someones gotta do it.
What I've been doing: I've been working on the community story for a while now. I dunno who started the page but nobody was finishing it. I wrote the first few "chapters" so far. Anybody is welcome to add their own bit(s) to it. That's the idea after all. Feel free to edit any errors if you do visit the page.

THE FOLLOWING IS A LIST OF WEAPONS I OWN ALREADY so don't crucify me for not showing weapons that are nearly impossible to get. Black Powder Pistol.32 Handgun.22 Revolver.22 Ruger Handgun

All of these look like mine except for the Black Powder Pistol and the .32 handgun... I couldn't find an accurate picture. Anyway, I only recently attained an interest in firearms. (Since I joined the wiki =D) So I plan on getting some others and when I do, I will be sure to post them.

A friend of mine (whom originally got me hooked on the zombie genre) Is going to be staying with me for an entire week. Our plans consist of:
  • Checking up on the sight for updates (and possibly adding)
  • Creating our very first bug-out-bags =D
  • Creating an anti-zombie/ anti-renegade shelter

Of course we'll be doing other things, but this is the zombie related portion.
I've got a certain spot hidden from view at which we plan to build a shelter.

I won't disclose where it is, because its a secret...
shh...

But I WILL tell you about it's benefits...

  • Near a freshwater spring
  • Hard for others to find
  • We are very familiar with the area
  • Creek with fish is near
  • Supplies can be hidden

Now for it's cons:

  • Possibility of flood
  • Wild animals

Altogether, I think we can fix it up without much problem. I live in a rural area so there's not much chance of infection. I'll post the progress we make throughout the week.

July 1st, 2008
After finding out that my friend could only stay 'til today, we decided to scout out the area instead of actually initiating the building process. An odd number of events happened while we were out there, though.
  1. We walked towards the selected area and saw an odd cow. It was completely black with a yellow tag in one ear, which is normal. But whats not normal is for a cow to have a yellow box surgically attached to it. A small yellow box was attached to it's rump. Upon seeing the cow, it ran from us until it was out of sight.
  2. We walked through the woods as to come closer to our destination. Deciding to take a short break we found a dirt road and stopped for a while. Soon a large black truck chased us back into the woods.
  3. We picked up the pace as to avoid being caught by any undesirables. As we found ourselves very deep in the woods, we heard a helicopter pass overhead. It sounded as if it was low, but we didn't see it through the thick canopy of trees.
  4. We find our way onto the dirt road again and follow what seems to be the tracks of a cow. We notice that we are in the center of a large deforested area (Recently deforested), but a select three trees are in a triangular pattern in several clearings.
  5. We see bootprints as we come across a small bulldozer. It was corroded with rust and mud suggesting that it hadn't been used in some time, BUT a completely full fuel can rested next to it.
  6. I recall that months ago I came to this same spot. No bulldozer was there then, but a sign that read, "Cameras are watching" was there previously.
  7. Upon our return to my home, we see the same black cow with the yellow box. This time it didn't run. It just stood there and watched us from about 10 feet away.
Note: Every truck that we passed on the return trip was black. (4 count and no other vehicles)

Just interesting points of the day.

I assisted my father where he works today. He is a funeral director and mortician. (He embalms dead people). We had picked up a body and taken it to the funeral home. When we arrived, we carted the body into the embalming room and another body was in there as well. This one had died of some sort of brain cancer/tumor and head trauma. Fluids were leaking out of a hole in it's cranium.

Again, just an interesting event.
