About Me:
When I started thinking way too much about zombies:Always on guard for any situation
What started my zombie fixation: Possible outbreak
Favorite zombie book: Zombie Survival Guide
Favorite zombie movie: Much more of possible of viral infection such as the Crazies and 28 Days (and Weeks) later.
Favorite quote in any zombie movie: "There's us and the dead. We survive this by pulling together, not apart." -Deputy Rick Grimes on The Walking Dead

My Survival Plan:
My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: LT My location: Houston County
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? No plan can be used for every scenerio. You must have plans for the various situations. If you keep yourself to one plan and it fails, then you won't survive.
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Once again this depends on a variety of things. If I am on deployment I have no choice but to go where I am ordered. If I am home when the outbreak errupts I will be called up. Now if I am no longer obligated to those duties, there are still a variety things that can affect your plan. First of all are you at home when the outbreak occurs or are you on vacation? If I am in my hometown or area, my home is a viable option to make a stand. The back of the home is covered by a fence reaching 7 1/2-8 feet tall, security cameras on the perimeter and inside the home, security exterior doors, and shatterproof windows. But remember that no one place should be used as a permenant location. Some situations may require you having to move from place to place.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? Once again there are various possibilites to this situation, what vehicles are available or where am I currently located?
Got anyone I want to take with me? Of course, everyone wants to protect their family, I am no different. Additionally, there are various people that I am associated with that have various abilities that range from medicial issues to agricultural/hunting needs to security situations.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? CB radio
How am I planning to get food and water? Once the outbreak comes about bottle water will be off the shevles so you must have an alternative plan. Rain barrels are a very reliable source of capturing water. Tarps can serve this function also. Other sorts of rail collection gear can be purchased at any home improvement or camping supply outlet. Remember to filter your water also. Canned foods can last only so long. You must have the capability of providing food, whether it is by hunting or farming. If you have agricultural experience you must consider this option. But this farming cannot be done on a large scale. No matter what point in time of the outbreak, you must maintain the security of your food and water sources.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? An armory is available at the workplace and home. Various firearms, melee weapons, and ammuntion are at my disposal. Of course, all firearms must be reloaded at some point, this is why I have a stockpile of ammunition for my personal armory.
Got a survival philosophy? Stay frosty
Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Linking up with survivors is inevitable. Some individuals will not be interested in joining with others. Will I accept that person's choice? Of course, because knowing that they do not want to have contact with others then I know that person is not in the right state of mind to be with a group. Yes, they maybe extremely cautious and always have their head on a swivel, but that could come at cost of group morale.
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? Individuals familiar with military and law enforcement protocols will understand that you must have more than one plan. For example, if I am coming into a hot extraction I am not going to be in a small sedan. I will come in with something heavy and durable.
