i've always thought that it is best to prepare for the worst so that when the day something horrible happens, i will be able to protect my friends and family. ever since i was younger (11'ish, when i first saw 'night of the living dead') i have been kind of been obsessed with preparing for a zombie holocaust - and i was really suprised when i found out that this site existed, makes me feel like maybe the planet has a chance if something of this caliber ever does happen. i work for the county water department (i'll leave the county name blank, dont want uncle sam knowing im a gun toting county worker). my current job title is as a service technician, which means i keep things running when they go wrong, pumps, trucks, camera equiptment. i have been playing paintball since i was a kid, i have extensive knowledge of outdoor survival and gun use. i work with g.i.s (global information systems) everyday to view progress of construction on water-sewer lines. i drive a 2004 f-350 superduty 4x4 diesel dually(which is killing me right now) truck with a utility bed, the truck has a winch, brush guard, and strobe/spot lights. i have a house in the rural part of the county with 3 acres of land, most of it fenced in. i own 2 4 shot semi-auto 12 gauge shotguns, 2 12 gauge pump shotguns with room for 1 in the chamber and 7 in the tube, 2 .22's, 1 .7 mil rifle, 1 long bow, and 1 sawed off navy issue pump 12 gauge, a model 23 glock, savage rifle 30/06 i can operate backhoe's, front end loaders, excavators, tractors, and can drive most anything on the road. i have a class b cdl license, with tanker endorsements. i am first aid certified, and am partially trained as a fire fighter/emt (took a higher paying job halfway through training)
