About Me: When I started thinking way too much about zombies: The first time that i saw Night of the Living Dead What started my zombie fixation: I really started getting into the survival mode of this whole thing when i first played RE: Survivor Favorite zombie book: World War Z Favorite zombie movie: Night of the Living Dead Favorite quote in any zombie movie: Kenneth: Is everyone there dead? Steve: Yeah, in the sense that they all sort of, uh... fell down... and then got up... and started eating each other. My Survival Plan: My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: 7821 - I'll just stick to my unit call number My location: Georgia Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? You should never base a plan on any preset conditions, if you cant adapt, you will be dead for sure. Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Staying mobile is the key, I would keep a few locations that i deem "safe", but i would never permanently settle down in one of them until the whole mess is over. If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? Load up in my truck, lock the hubs, and hit the back roads. Got anyone I want to take with me? My wife and kids, family, maybe one of my dogs. How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Hermit route, better that no one knows our plans or where-abouts. But i wouldn't totally shun society. How am I planning to get food and water? Smash and grab what i can, shoot the rest. Water filtration isn't rocket science What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? 12 gauge pump, 7 in the tube one in the chamber. Yep. Yep, 12 gauge ammo is just about more abundant around here than food, so it shouldn't be too hard to come across some, plus you can always reload your shells. If that fails then my machete wont. Got a survival philosophy? Keep moving, don't be the first to talk, don't give away your position to every Tom, Dick, and Sue that asks for it. Set up "safe zones" that you can sleep in with established perimeters. Trust the people you are with, they could save your life. Weapon maintenance is gold, no use having a decked out HK if the thing wont fire, and no use having a machete if its dull as grass. Don't give trust out for free, make people earn it. Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? If i deem them to not be a threat, but i don't want any stragglers or do-nothings. Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? I learn as i go, absorbing information is essential.
