What started my zombie fixation:Watching "The Walking Dead"

My location:Chicago suburbs (don't worry I'm headed anywhere near the city)
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere?: They would have to be in Chicago or within 40 miles of me
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else?: A camp in northern Wisconsin, it's 45 minutes through forest roads to get to the next very small town (4-6 thousand people)
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? : unfortunately it's 6 hours away by car so I would take a car with my family and stay on remote roads and away from infected areas
Got anyone I want to take with me? : family, other families that go to the camp with teenagers parents with survival/ weapons training ( there are quite a few)
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? : radio, cell phones ( I have a solar smartphone charger, I suggest people buy one) but only if nessecary
How am I planning to get food and water?: food: hunting for game( theres lots, deer squirrels, fish fish and more fish) we would use bows, the camp trains us to hit a 4 foot diameter target from 50 yards and some of the people and myself have our own compound bows. Water: we have 2 lakes full of water, both have fish, one is very very clean and could easily be purified with boiling ( we have a lot of firewood because we're in a forest)
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? : My homemade sword made from S-7 tool steel, it a saber. ( it's not one of those piece of crap paper thin pieces of metal, it would cut through a neck, a skull, or an arm it's a quarter inch thick and has a full tang I've parried a baseball bat with it and it didn't break or even bend for that matter) I also have a dagger made of the same material only thinner, me and my dad have both made blades before, I can make knifes with a forge, and we both can make them with power tools and my dad has an F.O.I.D. card so he can legally buy guns in Illinois so that is always an option. I also have my compound bow for hunting
Got a survival philosophy? : A group can't survive if it is at each others throats
Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? : It wouldn't be my call but probably not anybody outside our group
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of?: I took a little bit from Zombie survival guide but I thought of the big part of it
