Don't expect someone else to come save the day. In the event of a disaster (i.e. zombie attack) your survival depends on your preparedness. Do not buy cheap crap. I hope your life is worth more than a $200 throwaway pistol. If you think that you are going to raid a gun store AFTER SHTF then you are as good as dead. AMMUNTION. Buy lots of ammunition for whatever weapons you have. You can have the coolest mall ninja assault rifle, and it will do you absolutely no good to have two boxes of ammo for it. I recommend ABSOLUTELY no less than 2,000 rounds PER weapon. Don't buy cheap ammo either. You will be the one who is sorry when you have a failure to extract and it costs you your life. All because you wanted to save two cents a round. Magazines! 10 magazines per weapon. You can swap mags fast, but if you only have TWO MAGAZINES then what is the point?
