Slogan: Whoever gets the most kills gets a gold star!
Friends: None
Compliments: None

About Me:
When I started thinking way too much about zombies: A long time ago, probably when I first saw the RE games.
What started my zombie fixation: The imminent Zombie Apocalypse!!!
Favorite zombie book: Haven't read any.
Favorite zombie movie: Comedy one: Shaun of the Dead, Real: Dawn of the Dead
Favorite quote in any zombie movie: Can't think of any.
Just a note before you read much farther: Me and the VAST majority of my survival team *who all discussed these plans and gear* ARE crazy as hell. Even though we KNOW our stuff, be forewarned.

Gear of Choice:
Weapons (The Staple):
Note: Realize that you don't have to do a ton of damage to the body to kill a zombie. Just hit the head. So low caliber ammunition works just fine.
Primary Firearms: (Rifles in case you didn't know)
Springfield M1903. .30-06, Any Type, M2 Ball preferred
Remington Model 597 .22 LR
Remington Model 870 Pump Action Shotgun 12 gauge (Only one I don't currently own)
AK-47 (Except this one)

Side Arms: (If you don't understand this, you won't survive)
Beretta 92 9mm
Luger *buddies preference*
USP .45
Colt .45

Melee: (If all else fails)
Note: Blunt and bladed are just as effective. Destroy the brain.
Sledge Hammer
Baseball Bat
Katana
Short sword
E-Tool

Explosives/Incendiaries: (Things that go BOOM and light up the night, but only a few of them.)
Napalm. Easy to make.
Tape Bombs. Simple as well.
Molotov Cocktail. Too easy.
Pressure bombs. Distractions.

Assorted Useful Tools: (Random Shit we MIGHT get but will use if we do)
NVGs
Infrared Laser Sights
Flashlights
Fireworks
Rope
Bungee Cords
Wire Mesh
Razor Wire (Tell me you know what this is)
Concrete

Key to remember when selecting weapons is you don't have to have high firepower or a sharp edge, zombies generally won't have body armor and all you have to do is destroy the brain.

Clothing: (Possibly Camouflage)
Upper Body:
Plain Shirts or
Possibly Kevlar or
Jackets/Hoodies or
Tactical Vest or
MARPAT Combat Utilities
Nothing

Lower Body: Jeans or
Khakis

Head:
Kevlar Helmet (possibly) and/or
Shades or
Nothing

Footwear:
Combat Boots or
Shoes or
Flip-flops

The Necessities: (Because we don't need them....but we do!)
Alcohol
Cigarettes
Food
MREs/C-rations
Matches/Lighters
Bullets
Flares
Pirate Flag

The obvious addition of bandoleers or ammo pouches and tactical knife sheaths I wont' list, get to be creative on those.

My Team:

The Me: General Specialization/Tactician. Not amazing at anything in particular, but good enough at everything. Tactician. Military training imminent.
The Grey-man: Marksman. Second most weapons usage in the past, good at making light of serious situations in a good way. Also getting military training.
The Peebles: Medic. Trained EMT. Awesome. Enough said.
The Tom or Ed (depending on if The Tom is around):
The Tom- Marine/Demolitions. Taught me everything I know about home-made explosives. Weapons trained, marksman. MARINE.
Ed- Distraction/First to be eaten. Really only useful as a distraction. Expendable. If we have to eat someone, it'll be him.
The Womens: Girlfriends or any woman willing to stay with us forever, whether for the sake of the Human Race or because they love us. One Each.
Random Survivors: If we lose one of our own. You will be forced into a specific role and trained to do such role expertly. No Handouts. Otherwise
We will help you set up shop somewhere close by as a support and assisting team for recon or scavenging.
Take what you can get. It is the end of days....for now.

Survivors:
Survivors will act in one of two specific ways, and within these patterns they will act according to a few situations.

Grouping:
A survivor will either go Lone Wolf or attach themselves to a group with a high chance at survival.

A Lone survivor will probably not last long without assistance unless they're damn smart and a good shot.

A group of survivors will have higher survivability depending on how they act as a group and what way they decide to go in their group.
Encamped: An encamped group will survive based on how well they conserve supplies and how good they are at not drawing excessive attention from the undead hordes. They will either rely on stocks they had before or by scavenging or a combination. The strength of the group is important in this tactic but slightly less than in a wandering group.
Wandering: A wandering group will react to situations as they come, doing their hardest to draw little attention and find sanctuary at night as best they can. They will rely on scavenging and may resort to attacking other survivors for supplies and shelter. They're actions are based on the leader and the preferences of the group.

You, as a survivor, should be careful of how you approach other survivors as you do not know how they operate in comparison to you. While trust is nice, it can also be your downfall as there are some out there who will have only their well being in mind with zero regard for others.

Tactics:
I suppose I can cover some minor tactics for groups as well, perhaps it'll save some of your lives down the road. Take em or leave em, I don't half ass my ideas when it comes right down to it.

Note: These are not directed towards the leaders of groups, but to every individual. They also are not statements saying that you WILL do these things in these situations, just that they are what CAN happen.

Encamped:
When encamped, you are your worst enemy. A key skill is to ration everything from ammunition to sleep. Your group is reliant on your abilities to control yourself and control a situation. The best course of action is to barricade doors and board up windows. This seems silly, but your best bet is to fire on zombies from a higher elevation. Find a way onto a roof where that is the ONLY way up to said roof. This will help to fight cabin fever and thin out the zombie population around your base. You could always just hole up and hope for the best, but you'll have to fight your own mind with that one. Supplies will run thin, so small scavenging parties of up to 3/4 of the total people in your group will have to be organized every so often and scouting parties can prove useful too. Remember to utilize every tool you have and to protect not only yourself, but your group as well. You are as strong as they are, and they are as strong as you are. You will not have to compete with other survivors, but they may try to compete with you, so prepare to defend your group from other survivors as well as the undead.
*Note: This is not saying that every encamped group is going to be looking out for numero uno or others. It's just a general statement on how operations can go smoothly in a base situation.*

Wandering:
Since you're wandering around, you do not have a secure place you're willing to stay in for very long, probably because you can't organize a strong enough defense or that you don't feel safe anywhere for very long. Either way, you're going to have a tough time to say the least. You will not be able to keep large stores of ammunition or food so you have to be very choosy about when you stop and what you will take with you. You'll want to stay light on the supplies and heavy on the thinking. You are your greatest asset, but you have less to fall back on. You'll be more prone to preying on weaker groups of survivors and may at some point take a base from some poor group yourselves for supplies and shelter. You're leader will determine how you survive, but if you don't agree feel free to take command. Though there may be some dissension at first, it would be better in the long run to remain on good ground with other survivors if possible. You can gain temporary shelter and some supplies from a group and destroy them for everything they have, or retain them as allies in case you need help again. You have far more options but far lower chances of surviving.
*Note: This is not saying that group wandering around is going to crush other survivors, this is just saying that you have a far greater chance of slipping into that way of operating due to a lack of steady supplies and shelter.*

My Survival Plan:
My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: Rai.
My location: Jacksonville, NC
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere?
No matter where they start, they'll eventually be here. In general, people are stupid when it comes to this sort of thing.
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else and what are the general plans for it?
Depends, we're gonna hole up in one of our houses. Either way there's gonna be a couch on the roof, a tally board and plenty of supplies.
Plan is to have that couch up there to get comfy on while shooting at the zombies below or at a distance depending on the weapons used. Tally up kills and whoever gets the most, wins the day. Ladder to the roof through the house, reinforced steel doors and windows, tons of ammo and non-perishable/other food. Create a kill-zone at the edge of the yard and have priority set on any inside it, limiting how many zombies were close to the house as much as possible. Watch shifts during the night to maximize protection. All of the pre-determined survivors with me know how to make all sorts of home-made explosives and incendiary devices such as Napalm and Pressure Bombs. To fight cabin fever we would take weekly trips outside in groups of 3 for supplies with one spotting from the roof and covering their rear and assisting in the return. In all reality, the minor details I'm leaving out are crazy at the least. We know our capabilities and are more than willing to push them to their limits to keep ourselves sane while protecting our base and our lives.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there?
Either of the places planned are close enough to each other to survive with some fast footwork and a bat, bladed weapon or side-am.
Got anyone I want to take with me? Whoever I'm dating, and my best survival buddies.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Radio.
How am I planning to get food and water? Healthy stock in whatever house, Wal-Mart, Food Lion, scavenging.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that?
Any Rifle, if possible a Springfield M1903. Yes. Wal-Mart and Dicks have plenty of weapons and ammo and are in close proximity to either of the houses we'd set up shop in, not to mention the abundance of pawn shops as well.
Got a survival philosophy?
Fun with your survival means less Cabin Fever.
Am I willing to hook up with other survivors?
Strict 8 person limit, pre-determined. No problem supporting survivors setting up somewhere nearby though.
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? Nope, not that I know of at least.
