Ok cadet, let's start with a few musings on your planning assumptions.
Do you even know who and what are stationed on Ft Meade? Do you have any idea of the level of security, on a good day, let alone a real security condition?
You do realize that Ft Meade is located smack dab middle between Baltimore and Washington DC, right? If so, how can you possibly state that it is "in an area with relatively few people" with straight letters? Compared to what? New York City? There are about 7 million people in the Balt-DC corridor and general area. Most of them are on I-95 or 295, whichever one I happen to be driving on at the time and usually in front of me or bearing down on my rear.
I suggest you seriously re-think this.

where the hell did I specifically say I would ATTACK trained soldiers? If I actually could get to Fort Meade after noticing the warning signs, I definently would. I, as most of us, can recognize the warning signs, cannabilism, corpses coming bak to life, self-defense, etc. Under normal conditions, before zombies are in the millions here, I could get to Ft. Meade in about 30 minutes and we should be allowed in, and if not, then I will just have to wander around that area. Also, I am not allowed to buy a machete. If a 14 year old African-American/Mexican American goes to Home Depot and buys a machete and a Coke, would you sell it to him?
