Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? I suppose if the infection started in my town, I would bug out a lot faster than if it started elsewhere.
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? somewhere else
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? work van with anti-theft cages on windows. Stocked with family, food, water, guns and ammo... plenty of room
Got anyone I want to take with me? family and pets.... the dogs wake me up when someone comes down the street and the cats always catch me birds, mice, anything to eat
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Somebody is bound to reach my location
How am I planning to get food and water? Right now, the 4-H center up the road from my house. Google Airfield rd. Wakefield, VA. You'll see what I mean. Surrounded by water on 3 sides. Only one road in. Over 5 miles from the nearest town (wakefield which is not very big... Population of maybe 2000) The area is usually vacant besides a few groundskeepers which I know.

I do a lot of work around there and have a master key to all the dorms and buildings. Plenty of food stocked there. (Plus, what I have) The area runs on wells and septic tanks. Plenty of water around to flush the toilets. Also has emergency generators. Should be no problem securing the area.

For small infections, I will wait at my house in the country.

If for whatever reason, the area is too full by the time I get there... (takes me 15 mins to get there) I have other locations in mind.

What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? Yugo m70 Ak clone (well over 2000 rounds), mossberg 500 (150 rounds.. mix of 00 buck and #1 buck), ruger 10/22 (over 1000 rounds) and a Taurus Raging Bull in 44 mag ( 75 rounds)..... just picked up my 1911 (only about30 rounds now)
