My main survival plan is to take my family and go to Danbury CT Municipal airport (about a 45 minute drive from my place). From there i would go to the Reliant Air service Hanger, take one of the jet planes (about 20-30 seats), then take it to Block island, RI. The only way onto Block island is the ferry, airplane, or a personnal boat. the shore is almost completely covered by cliffs. I would occansinally return to the mailand for supplies. now, i would return to the mainland for food, greenhouse materials, weapons and ammo, and defensive equipment like concrete for walls and such. I would also wall off a large airport in my region like Waterbury-oxford airport to have a clear landing zone on the mainland as well as a safe zone for survivors while i work on Block Island to handle more survivors. Then Block island would be a safe heaven. I would then retake the other islands in the regoin to allow for more bases like these. If the infection spreaded to Block island before i got there, the population is relativly small, so i could secure it with some effort. What do you think? It's work in progress.
