My Survival Plan:My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web:
My location: Iowa
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere?: Preliminary steps of my plan are to prepare when whispers of zeds arise. A four-stage plan ranging from a mental rehearsal of my plan to evac. and regroup if the whispers turn out to be true.
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else?: Home for the first two weeks or less. Once my group is assembled, there is an easily fortifiable place in my area.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? : Car convoy, we will armor the cars if we have time.
Got anyone I want to take with me? : Friends and family. More may join as we encounter them. But they will be put through a screening for signs of infection.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? : Hermit. Until a person joins my group who knows how to use a radio set or cna contact the outside.
How am I planning to get food and water?: The afore mentioned fortifiable location has a nearby plot of crop fields( big surprise in Iowa right?) that can bee used as a sustainable food source. Water can be collected from rain and there is a fresh water pond nearby.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? : Nothing fancy about it, but my weapon of choice would have to be my 12 guage pump action Benelli shotgun. I will scavenge my ammo when i can find it, and i have quite a few holdout guns. And if they fail, ive got plenty in the way of melee weapons too.
Got a survival philosophy? : Not survival per se but: "Do good when you can, and evil when you must."
Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? : Depends. I would join a group of intelligent, and similarly prepared survivors. It would be mutually beneficical. BUT... I have no interest in joining a group of people who drag me into a scene from the average zombie movie. Woman screams, everyone turns a corner and gets eaten.
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of?: No, it employs knowledge gained by books, movies, and other people, but the plan is independant of them,
