About Me:
When I started thinking way too much about zombies: In high school when I started watching way too many horror movies.
What started my zombie fixation: See previous answer.
Favorite zombie book: Day by Day Armageddon
Favorite zombie movie: Day of the Dead, the original.
Favorite quote in any zombie movie: "There's only 5 people left in this world and one of them is Bill f***ing Murray!"

My Survival Plan:
My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: unkelrico or luzerphreek
My location: Illinois
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? Best case scenario I'm near home, but I can adapt.
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Bunker down for as long as possible. Kind of depends on the threat. Know of a few awesome places to hold up in the Rockies, but it would be a hell of a trek.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? My SUV. It handles snow and slick roads pretty good. Haven't done more than light off-roading with it though.
Got anyone I want to take with me? Wife, nearby relatives, my dogs.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? If we still have utilities working, social networking sites, the ZSDW, cell phone. After that I will be listening with my scanner and CB.
How am I planning to get food and water? Always keep a couple weeks stash of both in the basement. If water isn't available in house, less than 1 mile to nearest river. In the fall I can harvest the garden.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that?

92FS
Beretta 92FS 9mm.

SKS
SKS with Tapco stock and 20 round detachable mags.

Mini-14
Mini-14 in .223.

For me, the SKS and the Beretta 92FS. For the little lady, the Mini-14 and a Glock 17.

I keep a minimum of 1 case (1,260 rounds) of surplus 7.62x 39, at least 1,000 rounds of .223 rem, 1,000 rounds of 9mm, and 1,000 rounds of .22lr. I am currently building my stock of 12 gauge buckshot and slugs. The plan is to have at least 250 rounds of each on hand at all times. While I'm at it, 10,000 rounds of .22lr sounds like a good goal as well.

Most of the camping gear is in a duffel bag in the garage on a shelf with the rest of the camping gear. The rest is in another duffel in the house.

If we leave, I'm grabbing my BoB, range bag, bucket of dehydrated food, the 2 camping duffel bags, dog pack and tossing them in the truck.

I keep a small tool kit in my car all the time, duct tape, a tarp, mag lite, lighters, and blankets. In the winter I keep an extra pair of insulated boots, a few pairs of gloves, face mask, and an extra stocking cap.

Currently rearranging and resupplying my BOB so many items are missing. Only listing items I have on hand and ready to go now. I will add to it each month and take photos when its finished.

Got a survival philosophy? Get prepared. When you need it the most, so does everyone else.

Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Yes, but they must be willing to do their share. Skills are a plus, but not necessary if they are hard working.
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? Largely based on the "beans, bullets, & band-aids" philosophy. I read ZSDW and other blogs as well as manuals on disasters and preparedness and add what I can from my own experiences camping.
