When I started thinking way too much about Zombies: See next question. Resident Evil gave me flasbacks.

What started my zombie fixation: There was this rabid coyote out there at 200 yards. I shot him once with my .308--topped with a 180gr Core-Lokt--hitting him right behind the shoulder, which should have dropped him for good. But he just got up, shook, and started limping toward me. I then saw his eyes were bleeding and he was all mangy. I shot again, going for the chest cavity. No effect. I decided to put one right between his eys, which dropped him for good. The local vet sent samples of that dead coyote out for lab results, but never head from the lab. I think that coyote was infected...
