About Me: When I started thinking way too much about zombies: 7th and 8th Grade What started my zombie fixation:Reading many zombie books, watching movies, and realizing that all of my weapons had a purpose. and that purpose was to kill zombies Favorite zombie book:World War Z, Zombie Survival Guide, Zombies in my hometown, twilight of the dead Favorite zombie movie: Dead Alive, Diary of the Dead, because of the mute amish man with a scythe. Favorite quote in any zombie movie:from day of the dead: "*bub shoot* *bubSmirk*" ok, not a real quote, but Bubs epic cowboy smirk is the best. ever. My Survival Plan: My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web:FarmerMy location:San Francisco, CA.37°46'59.83"N,122°28'53.67"W Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? I willDefinitelybe moving out of SF, after making a few pit stops at armories or weapons stores. I'll either go north, into canada, or down towards SoCal, find a nice little forest with a desert all around it. In canada, Im going to try and find a lake or pond, i prefer the Light or deep forest to desert or chapparal. I found a spot down in CA which is really nice, some deep forest around, a medium sized river, and a small open valley. if anyone wants to meet up after the outbreak starts:35°42'17.58"N,120°58'43.55"W. Edits: I will instead be moving out to battery townsley, a location closed to the public that i recently found through a park service job i have. It has a fantastic vantage point at the top of a hill, very dense chapparal that zombies would have a tough time getting through and only one looping road, with two exits, each with a large gate and a steel door. there is an overlook of the ocean, a pond that could be stocked with fresh water and fish. There are ample native edible and medicinal plants, and ample room to grow a large vegetable garden and more than enough space to have many food animals in cages (bunnies etc native to the area). It has lighting, insulation, I'd install heating. It has Solar Panels on the roof, and is completely self sustainable, off the grid. Originally a military battery, its perfect for defense. Empty right now, I'd pack up with insane amounts of food, make a few trips, get all the essentials, and basically move in. Its the perfect place, completely hidden, open enough inside, lots of passages to escape, but not enough to get trapped. weapons area, large guns (was once home to the biggest gun in the US, at 65 feet barrel) and lots of overlooks and gun slots. PERFECT. Come look for me and my homies if you like, Ill have food, weapons, and comfortable living conditions. We'll be living the dream, killing Z's, Relaxing, swimming, and drinking on the roof of our battery home. Directions if you'd like to join me: From the North• Take Hwy 101 southbound. • Exit at second Sausalito exit, just before the Golden Gate Bridge. • Bear right onto Alexander Avenue; proceed back under the freeway. • Follow Alexander Avenue 0.2-miles; turn left onto Bunker Road. From the South• Take Hwy 101 northbound across the Golden Gate Bridge. • Exit Alexander Avenue; bear right. • Follow Alexander Avenue 0.2-miles; turn left onto Bunker Road.Directions to Fort Cronkhite• On Bunker Road, pass through one way Baker-BarryTunnel. • Follow Bunker Road 3-miles and continue pass Rodeo Lagoon. Head toward the ocean and Fort Cronkhite will be on your right-hand side Once here, park in the lot, or actually just continue up the large hill marked coastal trail. Broadcast on open radio, play loud music, or party it up loudly. I'll see you. Welcome. If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? Face it guys. Nothing gets the job done like an H1. Its the truth. Although, maybe ill upgrade to one of the army prototypes Ive heard of, with exhaust filters to get clean drinking water, and relatively good MPG. Of course, I'd mod it with gun and knife slots, perhaps a makeshift "cow-catcher" on the front so the zombies in my path wont bog me down.Definitely thick wire mesh over the windows, particularly in the back. in the back, i may even have metal shutters, to ensure safety. Sealed undercarriage, with screwdriver slots though, in case of emergency. Got anyone I want to take with me? Thats a toughie. No doubt about it, I need people with me, Im not pretending to be rambo. I would definitely want another hardened Zombie prepared partner, so i may have to go with my good friend TheHillsToWhichWeRun, who has an excellent plan himself, I am sure. i also could pick a contact in the police force, fire Department, or military ops to run with. Besides that, I couldnt abandon my girlfriend, or my dog. A dog is useful, a cool girlfriend is just great. How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? I would bring a sat phone, probably the Iridium, trying to decide between a handheld or a briefcase. i would also bring either a small tablet PC, such as the motion computing f5 or the xplore technologies ix104c4, or a panasonic toughbook, running my own linux distro modeled after mac OSX but with linux and vista capabilities. obviously, powered through car or hand crank-Solar from my battery How am I planning to get food and water? I will probably make multiple trips up to townsley, filling my H1 and a huge trailer with food, fridges, beds, all of the things I need for an extended stay. Food will either be replenished on excursions, depending on the Zed thickness in the area, or hunted/fished/grown. Water would be taken from rain, or, because of my coastal surroundings, desalinated and purified. There is also a large pond where the old gun casemate was, which could be stocked with fish and water. MY SURVIVAL GEAR I'd always keep two pistols on me. Deagles look great, work great, but kind of bulky, and my thing is speed and agility, so I'd be ok with an m9 or m1911. Secondary Firearm(s) An extremely nice ST Kineticks CPW SMG from singapore, it has... Weight of 1.5 kg, ROF of 900-1100 rounds per minute, a 30 round mag, and an effective range of 100m. it has a nice laser sight and has full automatic mode as well as single shot. Other Weapons I really like edged weapons more than anything else, despite their long range impracticality. I'd have a multitude of crossbows, because you can always make more ammo (although I'd fill rooms with ammo). I would love to have a nice pair of katana and wakizashi. Give me two katanas, close range Im unstoppable, especially against a braindead zed. I prefer the Tracker or Dave beck knife to a Ka-Bar, it is nicer and I have practice with it. It is useful for any survival task you care to name, and has a pretty long blade. it can be thrown in the style of a tomahawk, but like a throwing knife as well. it takes a lot of practice to adapt to, but once you have tried it you literally dream about them. I have some pretty basic throwing knives, and if i really wanted to use them practically, I'd bring a couple hundred up to townsley. space is not an issue. Clothing Generally, You'd catch me in a black 'beater, with light shell armor over my elbows and vambraces for my forearms. SAP fingerless gloves, just in case. not lots of open skin, but free movement. A hoody and facemask, or my favorite hat. Probably black sweatpants, or beat up brown carrhartts. Footwear I would have a pair of combat boots, probably SWAT but i might spring for the Converse. I love me my hightops. I'll have an ankle strap with a tac-thrower in it. Good bye and good luck You'll need it
