About Me:
When I started thinking way too much about zombies: I think i was in first grade: 1982-3?: it was when i saw the premiere episode of M.J's Thriller music vedio on Mtv...you know, back when they actually played music.
What started my zombie fixation: Thriller, followed by the master George Ramero.
Favorite zombie book: Day by Day Armageddon...followed by Max Brooks' Zombie Servival Guide.

Favorite zombie movie: The original George Ramero Dawn of the Dead, then the Ving Rames remake, followed by Zombieland, an finally Land of the Dead...I mean come on, Dead Reconing...how sweet is that rig?!
Favorite quote in any zombie movie: Rule #1...Cardio!

My Survival Plan:
My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: Zombiekiller007 on the web; "Bo" on the C.B.
My location: Currently San Diego, Ca.
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? No...I grewup durring the last half of the cold war...when ww3 was a legitimate concearn...i grew up on a farm with not only a "storm shelter", but it also has a "Fallout shelter" built in 1969. Concequently, ive always had a planed escape rout and servival plan, for just such an occurance.
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Im gone. The key to any servival plan is to stay mobile...haveing said that, its nice to have key stash points, that no one else knows about, to allow you to resupply, or rally back to should you become sepperated from your group; provided your in a group.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? Agen, Im a third generation farm boy ranch hand, raised from birth to hunt, fish, trap, and live off the land...combined with 10 years millitary service, and an addiction to 4 wheeling, and a life long paranoia of nuclear war...im prepared. Ive spent countless hours, and thousands of dollars, modifing my bug out vehicle. I will make my escape in a 1971 chevy 1 ton 4x4 with the following modifications: a twin dual sequential turbo charged Cat C-7 7.9 liter Dessiel produceing 950 bhp with 1500 lb ft of tourqe, a custom ATS 6 speed actuated transmission rated @ 2000bhp an 2500 lb ft torque, divorce mounted Rockwell All Wheel Drive transfercase, feeding Dana 80 1ton front and rear axels each with 39 spline cryo forged cromolly axel shafts, cryo forged 4:56:1 gears and in cab activated E-lockers mounting mill-spec HMMWV steel rims mounted on 37x12.50x16.50 Mill-spec HMMWV Good Year Wrangler M/T run flat tires (Heh heh...i know people.). She's got a custom 1 ton 4 link rear suspension with 24 inches of travel, custom 3 link 1ton front suspension also with 24 inches of independant wheel travel, custom "Road Armor" brand front and rear bumpers and 1 inch steel skid plates front and back. Got anyone I want to take with me? Just my son Daniel.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? In addition to the above mentioned modifications, my truck's got an HD digital Am/Fm raido, both XM and Serious Sattilite Raidos, A citizen band (C.B.) raido, Merine band raido, VHF/UHF raido and a hand held ham/world band and weather raido. Im also planing to install a F.I.L.R. sat phone/t.v./brodband system.
How am I planning to get food and water? Agen...I can live off the land...ive also recently aquired a Mill-spec water pureifier/desellinator, which i plan to install into my truck.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? My weapon of choice is my brain...haveing said that...I will bring several tactical knives/ two K-bar tactical machettes, 4 Cold Steel tactical thomahawlks, both of my custom 180lb draw compound bows, my PSE Tac-15 crossbow upper recievers mounted to sacreficed AR-15 lower recievers (Im the prowed owner of 4 of these systems...trust me, there wicked groovy.), both of my "Cold Steel" composite baseball bats...ooh ya thier nice, shaped like a looisville slugger and indestructibel, wont crack, shatter, or dent...gotta love it.,And as far as fire arms, let me start by saying that the single most globally produced cartriges in the world are as follows ...Colt .45 ACP, 9mm pistol, 5.56/.223 (M-16/AR-15), 7.62x39mm (AK-47), 30-06 rifle, 12 gage shotgun, and .22 cal.: This means that your chances of stumpling upon, or otherwise aquireing these rounds are extreamly high. For that reason and that reason only, of all my fire arms im only bringing my Kimber colt .45 ACP model pistols (of wich i own 4), my beretta model 92 9mm service pistols (of which i own 2), both of my custom M-4 Carbines, my one and only Kallshnikov AK-47, both of my 30-06 M-1 Garand's all 4 of my mosberg tactical 12 gage shot guns, and last but not least; my babby: my custom bolt action remington 750 30-06 sniper-(um-i mean "hunting" ) rifle.
Got a survival philosophy? Yes...stay alert, stay quiet, stay mobile=stay alive...after i grab my son, im gona bug out useing back roads, and off road trails that ive allready maped out and practiced getting to; this will lead me to rail tracks that i will utilise with the rail guides ive installed on my truck (im sorry...did i forget to mention my truck was equiped with rail guides?...my bad.) And while people beacome trapped on conjested interstates, and highways ill be dooing 50 on rail roads free from traffic jams and the undead. this system of transport also has the benifit of getting me to otherwise inaccessable areas of the us which will un doubtably be free of the undead. At this point i will await a select group of friends at our predetermined rally point. once we regroup, we will travel in a convoy...safty in numbers after all.
Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Yes And no, Ill teach you how to servive and live off the land, but the first time u do something stoopid that endangers my son...ill shoot you myself and steal your gear!
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? Nope...just a life time of nuclear parinoia, a liftime of hunting/fishing/camping, a wholelott of common sence, and 10 years of practical, tactical, combat experiance...HOORAH!

First id like to say, that the m16 family of combat rifels gets a bad rap. In 1957 when Gene Stoner developed the prototype, and sold the rights to Colt, it was leaps and bounds ahead of its time. Haveing said that, it wasent without problems. 1.) the weapon lacked a foreword assist to aid in jam's. 2.) the prototype used a celaner burning rod type powder verses the dirtyer ball powder that it was fielded with (which caused the weapon to be fielded without cleaning kits). 3.) it laked a heat resistant crome lined barrel, yet was a fully automatic weapon which led to catastrophic heat failiures. It wasnt untill the advent of the M-16 A2, that the weapon was equiped with a foreward assist, crome lined barrel, and was finally made into a burst weapon, that all the "bugs" were worked out. In my 10 years as an opperator with the U.S.Army, i NEVER experianced a jam, or heat related failer of anny kind, nor have i ever heard a first hand account of any of the affore mentioned occurances. I suggest that you, the individual, go to a range, and ues the weapon youreself, before you decide to poo-poo the weapon based solely on the advice of an AK junkie who probly has never even fired the weapon. Thier is no other weapon i would trust my life with than the M-16...(but thats only my opnion.)

Ok, first im new here. but im looking for any bodys ideas on post contagion, bug out / servival vehicles...what yuo guys think is best...whats youre ideas? Beacouse as a combat vet, and avid 4 wheeler, i can give you my 2 cents...cause i gotta tell ya, some of the things ive heard of late, are just ****** stoopid...but agen im biased. Any way here it goes...1.) get yourself a non ford, non G.M dessiel...Im talking an industrial, heavy duty mill, manufactured for "medium duty" trucks. And no jack ass, your Dodge 3500 "Heavy Duty", or G.M.C. 3500 "HD' are not medim duty rigs. A Mediem duty rig would be a GMC Kodiak, Iszuzu NPR, Ford F650/750, ect. Thises desiels are fuel efficent and produce redicules ammounts of horsepower and torque. Thier also designed to go 1 million miles or more, and thier inexpensive. i have a cat c-7 in my truck. 2.) The use of an afforementioned desiel allows you to drop it into a full size truck, im talking a quad cab 8 foot bed gmc/ford/dodge or full size 1 ton van or 98-2004 ford excursion, why u ask? simple, a bigger truck allows for more supplies, a more comfy ride, and a larger liveing space.3.) Simple physics...a Cat C-7 in a ford excursion loaded with 1500lbs of welded in 1/2inch steel plate,1000lbs of suplies, and 800lbs of fuel will do 80mph @ 20 mph...take that toyota yaris! 4.) Dont buy into the hype...any desiel WILL run on stright canola oil without anny modifications needed. the local gas station bone dry...raid the wall mart for cooking oil and bug the **** out. Oh yea, by the way, b4 i forget...beacouse its denser than desiel and higher in octane, it proguces more horse power and torque with better fule economy. any way thats my rant...let me know your opnion late.
