We only have one rule.........NO RULES. (CoC of course) Banned: No talk of 22s being awesome zombie rounds. Unless of coarse it ends in a "3" (223) or is a triple deuce (222). All futuristic weapons found will be confiscated ASAP. Any firing of weapons more powerful than pistol and shotgun caliber weapons inside the building. MGs and explosive devices will be turned into the armory. Only pistol and shotgun caliber weapons allowed on persons inside. All other weapons will be stacked in the bar weapons rack. Anybody dumb enough to start sh!t will become the next BBQ. BYOBB Bring Your Own Booze & Broads. Female types....you too bring your own broads. Management ACR......................Public Relations and Master As$hole. SlowRide..............Troll Patrol and executioner (bouncer). Thomas13............Head Bartender and Gunsmith. Shadow................Head Chef and Brewer. (Cheese mogul too). Hell Hounds.........Trash removal specialists. Lords of ZSDW roam at will and enforce CoC when needed. It is a old Nike Missile Silo SlowRide salvaged from a long gone Troll. (So we have the space to pile the bodies deep) *When you come through the doors you will walk down a spiral staircase to the main floor* * Looking up you will notice the silo doors open to vent the bonfire smoke* (Even Hell needs proper ventilation) *Sitting on a stool made of skulls ACR turns some meat on a spicket* *Next to him sits his SKS and Remington 870 12ga* *In a shoulder holster a Taurus PT92 and a Glock 17 in a drop leg holster* BAR IS OPEN.....

Your family has managed to make it through Z-Day Week 1, intact. You have burned through the immediate use foods in your refrigerator, and starting to work on that which lives in your freezer. Let's assume that you have approximately 2 more weeks of food left for your family before things start getting REALLY tight.
Your neighbors haven't fared so well. They didn't plan ahead, and haven't been rationing their food, but they're in good health. Many of their family members didn't make it home from work or school, and most are grieving. Still, all things considered, they're in okay spirits, as they feel fortunate to have missed the main bulk of the zombie hordes. Your neighbors aren't as prepared as you; many don't offer as diverse a skillset, most are unarmed. Those that are armed only possess entry level hunting rifles and at best, one or two boxes of ammunition of various caliber chamberings. However, your neighbors are smart: they see that you are your family are (or appear to be) eating regular meals, and have maintained an armed presence (with whatever you currently own) protecting their home. A few have come forward asking to set up a sort-of community watch, so that security can be maximized until things either blow over, or until you're forced to leave. They are also interested in setting up search parties to salvage food and supplies, but they lack the security necessary to make these excursions safe. They aren't asking for handouts, but the few other households nearby are remaining guarded, even from you. What's your plan? How do you proceed? Do you have the means of offering what they ask - additional security and arms for those search and salvage parties? Are you willing to reduce security at your home to help the neighbors? Do you just bail out, taking your provisions with you? Or do you push a powerplay, and start dictating the terms of the agreement?

I couldn't find an introductions category so I figured I'd come here and buy you all a round. =^_^= Well, actually, whomever's paying for the site is buying the rounds but that's besides the point. =*_*=
Anyhow, I see a lot of familiar faces still around here! =^_^= I just wanted to pop my head in and see how you all have been doing since... h-has it been years? =O_o= My partner and I are still addicted to practicing with melee weapons and now we've a lot more sparring partners. =^_^= They all use foam instead of wood, but that's kinda cool too, its taught me some things I wouldn't have learned otherwise. Even though I still like spears and axes, I decided to combine the two interests and study halberds in depth. Man that centrifugal force was hard to get used to... =o_o= I've also gone shooting with some friends and finally got over my gunshyness. =^_^= Turns out I'm pretty good at hitting stationary targets 100 yds away with 12 gauge slugs and 50 yds away with .45 ACP. Totally thinking about getting a .45 handgun and a .308 rifle now. =^_^= .22s are so boring... =*_*= I like wrestling my guns! =^__^= We've also taken up leather working which has been a lot of ... I was about to say fun =*_*= Well, my introduction to it was making very well fitted sleeves of leather armor attached to quilted sleaves, so yeah, that was kinda daunting. Been making drinking horns, sheathes, drinking horn sheathes, armor, belts, footwear, etc. We need to come up with more things to try our hand at making though. How about you all, anything new or exciting been going on in your lives in the past couple years? =^_^= Show off, talk about how far you've come, whatever piques your interest, you know.

This is the ultimate survivalist's place. It's defended by a militia of highly trained shooters. Those rager zombies aren't getting in here (probably), so just sit down. We have an armory/storehouse, so if you'd like to do a little trading, ask me. (Note: You can say you have whatever, just make it something you could plausibly get before or during Z-Day, so nothing that isn't civilian, unless you're not a civilain, and nothing too pricey, unless you have the money.) Not really much alchohol suvred here, as it clouds your mind, slows your body, and messes up your aim. Other than that you can get just about anything from the storehouse basement if you have something I'll trade. Ammo makes for good currency, and around here we take bottle caps and can lids. You can buy/sell/trade amongst yourselves, but my team and I have put a lot of spare stuff intot he storage basement. I think I put a big rack of 410 shells back there somewhere, and somebody said his FN SCAR-L was too underpowered and stuck it down there, too. If you have any questions about what else you can get, just ask me. (the bottle tops and can tops off stuff you get is kept by me as an extra tax, unless you get three or more items with currency tops, in which case I can only keep one.)

This is a redneck honkey tonk where you can kick back, relax and take a break while the world falls apart around you.
Its set up in a tobacco barn at the boot tip of Indiana where the Walbash and Ohio rivers meet. Theres no need to look over your shoulder we got ourselves a wall and if they breach that head for the boats. The specials today are turtle soup and deer bologna and Hoosier homebrew is always on tap. Hand rolled cigars imported from Kentucky are a .38spl a piece. Marry Jane straight from Perry County is available to folks into that sort of thing for a .357mag. If any of the zombie heads mounted on the walls are any relation to you just ask and one of the employees will take it down. Between all the different locations we are starting to have, I have decided I shall call none my home and instead live in my custom HEMTT while I travel the wasteland, stopping in frequently to say hello. I've got more room here too, if anybody wants to join this convoy you are more than welcome.

We have had a great many intelligent and well thought out threads lately but what of the stinkers?
We all get them. That urge to post a stupid, odd, or just plain goofy thread that isn't really serious or smart. Eventually the urge to post goes away. Until now. Post the opening comment to any thread that is just plain dumb/funny as well as the title in the subject box and laugh as the rest of us do the same. Let's see how dumb the smart ones can get. Let's face it, being a member of the ZSDW doesn't make you immune to the zombie plague - eventually, some of us are going to be bitten and reanimate. We don't like to think about it like that, but it's just a reality when living in a world dominated by zombies.
Who do you think would be the scariest ZSDW member-turned undead? Pick three people, one for each class of zombie - ZSG "Solanum" zombie, 28 Days/Weeks "Rager" zombie, and hypothetical "thinking" zombie, which is one that is killed only by a headshot but has retained most of their cognitive capacity and skill. Support your answer with some backup! Compliments to the first 10 participants. I'll put my answers in after these folks have gotten the ball rolling.

All this voting and debating has me in a mood for internet violence. We've had bars in the past on this site. Right now they're being eclipsed by the Weapon Election threads.
