Looks like the Indian film industry is releasing its first zombie movies ever. Watched the trailers for two of them, Rise of the Zombie and Go Goa Gone; had trouble making out the dialogue over the accents, but Go Goa Gone looks pretty interesting (Rise of the Zombie looks fairly generic). What do you guys think? |

Have any of you heard of this new book? It is apparently fantastic, and just shot up to the high ranks on Amazon for horror and sci fi. Big buzz forming on this. The book is free with kindle +prime membership. I just picked it up for $8.29 since I hate ebooks. I read the first few chapters and I am hooked! great zombie fun so far.

There is a new Free- 2- Play zombie FPS game coming out. But it's not console or pc it's for iPad! http://thedrowning.com/
They guys behind it all have console backgrounds so the graphics are nuts and the control system is based on the feel of counterstrike - but completely ground breaking interms of its mechanics. I own a film production company called Explosive Productions. I'm a newbie to the film area. A few friends and I are planning on making a 15-20 minute zombie film. Basically a shortened version of a survival film. A guy out battling zombies, that kind of stuff.
If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated!

Hi guys, had a bit of a zombie movie fest over the weekend. Two of the movies were comedies: Dance of the Dead and Dead before Dawn. Dead Season is a serious post z-poc scenario. First the comedies, though:
Dance of the Dead is a teenage zombie/comedy/high school prom movie. It has more cliches (deliberately, though) than you can poke a stick at, but the humour and performances are good enough to make this an entertaining movie. The slow dance scene between the main heroes amongst music pacified zombies is a good example of how this movie mixes the genres for a good laugh. Dead Before Dawn is less focused. It's a comedy, but it takes about 10 minutes or so before the movie hits its rhythm. The premise is that a sacred urn in the local occult shop (owned by Christopher Lloyd, of "Back to the Future" fame) will cause a curse if broken. A bunch of young college students joke about it, making up a silly curse involving hickey inducing zombie/demon hybrids, "zemons", caused by any of the cursed people looking at someone. They have until dawn to reverse the curse. There's some genuinely funny, laugh out loud moments in this, and it's generally entertaining, but the main character is weak - not just the character himself, but I get the feeling that the writers didn't actually know exactly what they wanted him to be. Nontheless, the more the movie went on, the more I liked it. Deliberately camped up, with lots of shots of the whole group going "Ewww!" and "OOoohhh" at various explosions, zombie deaths and the like. Some fairly creative suicides caused by the curse, too. Good wholesome family fun, all in all. Again, worth a look if you want a zombie laugh.

Is anyone interested in seeing this movie? I'm totally seeing it with some friends on opening night, because we read the book and it was fantastic. I think the idea of zombies that have some rational thought and a zombie narrating the story is pretty cool and unique from other zombie books or movies I've seen.

What's everybody's favorite Resident Evil game?
Before I say which is my favorite, I would like to say that in general I prefer the newer ones in the series..... Meaning the 3rd-person-shooter-view (4, 5, 6), rather than the older games with the fixed-camera-angles and puzzle based gameplay (1, 2, 3, veronica). Nothing is wrong with the older ones, in fact I usually prefer puzzle-based games rather than action games, but that's just my preference. The newer ones are a little bit TOO action based in fact in my opinion, which is why I consider Resident Evil 4 to be the best in the series. It was a cross between the 2 different styles.

Zombie Pandemic
A script based game that is "Free to Play" It is a low key game for those who like to "build up". The goal of the game is to complete missions and build up your character. I like it because I can do a mission or 2 each day and not lose horrible amounts of time to the internet. The game has good persistence and allows player to work together in a limited fashion through "clans". A nice feature that Clans have is safe houses. This is where almost all of the co-op play happens. Clan members can work together to build up locations where they can increase training caps, rest fastter, heal injuries, and gain food. They can be tricky. The combat in the game is turn based. You may face 1 or even 7 enemies. Mostly they are zombies, though, there is the occaisonal looter or raider. Travel through the game is also something of a turn based system, at least nothing is animated. I am in the game as Dare-ill. I will shortly be establishing a clan for ZSDW. If you already play this game set me up as a friend or drop a note here with your character name. If you choose you can use the NoScript add-on in Firefox to get rid of adds and other useless scripts. I believe that I have discovered the absolute most fatal flaw in the The Walking Dead (TWD) series.
The facts: it takes place in the US state of Georgia the virus has infected 100% of humanity the virus has killed off the clear majority of humanity Guns are the best way to deal with zed walkers and just about everything else Rick is a deputy sheriff from *BFE county, GA Rick and some other characters are from *BFE county in GA some of the story takes place in Atlanta one of the possible places to go was Ft Benning it's presumed that Hershel's Farm, "Woodbury" and the prison are all South of Atlanta in the direction of Ft Benning Well then, am I the only one who knows about the 'famous' city near Atlanta where it's required by LAW for households to have firearms? In 1982 the city passed an ordinance [Sec 34-21] (a) In order to provide for the emergency management of the city, and further in order to provide for and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the city and its inhabitants, every head of household residing in the city limits is required to maintain a firearm, together with ammunition therefore. (b)Exempt from the effect of this section are those heads of households who suffer a physical or mental disability which would prohibit them from using such a firearm. Further exempt from the effect of this section are those heads of households who are paupers or who conscientiously oppose maintaining firearms as a result of beliefs or religious doctrine, or persons convicted of a felony. Yes, Kennesaw, GA! Where even if 80-90% of the population went dead or dead-ish, about 99% of the households, trucks, hidden rocks and bunkers in that city have GUNS. And with a population of 29K+, that could mean 15K in guns. Now, Rick the law-dog, should know or recall that simple fact. Hell, I do.

Hey folks! As some of you may know, I recently acted as a core extra in an independent film called Rockabilly Zombie Weekend. It's exactly what it sounds like: a couple holds a Rockabilly-themed wedding out at the family barn in the sticks in Central Florida, only for a West Nile-influenced zombie virus to spread among the guests and create a state-wide pandemic!

I like a lot of people on this wiki watched the trailer for the new movie, WWZ. There was one main thing that stuck with me after seeing the trailer, the idea of zeds that run. Most of my ideas and prep had been based on the ideas on the ‘walker’ zed, the one you can walk away form and is not too much of a threat unless in mass. With the idea of the zed that can run, how would your current plan of action change as far as fortification of B.O.L, traveling, and combat?
For me, as far as fortification, it puts a lot more emphasis on the back up location, a small cabin, campsite, something away from my main B.O.L that I and my crew can get too, seal off and survive at for a bit of time till either cost is clear at the main sight, or just stay there and rebuild that as our main one. Also, the idea of a fast wall, means of funneling, a ditch, something to slow them down and make them manageable is much higher in importance. Traveling, makes it alor more important for me and my crew to leave ASAP before the runners get into the B.O.L area, or along the path there. Combat, puts a lot more emphasis on groups and silent kills. Need a lot more eyes to watch for the random zed running out of the street, woods etc, less time to react to them Also, silent kills are of vital importance, more so then with the walkers. If you take out a zed with a gun, you can leave the area most likely before walkers can converge on you. With runners, they will be there much faster, possible being unable to leave the area before they are on you. These are my thoughts, what is everyone else’s?

Hey there, what's up?
I'm working on an amateur team with a project called "Dead Road". If you know how to program, how to create 3D models, how to design or something about video editing don't hesitate to PM me! We are recruiting people that can help us working on the project. How the game would be like? We are talking about that subject, what we can confirm to you is the game will be an Survival Open-World First-Person Zombie Shooter game. My teammates thinks it would be an good idea to make that game as multiplayer. (It would have some ideias like DayZ). What about your amateur team and why are you making this game? We are a few guys who LOVES zombie stuff. It's my passion and i wan't to make something new to play for you all and i'm not doing this for money. We started this project 2 years ago but we was only two guys and we stopped the project because we wasn't getting people to help and the old project wasn't planned right. Our new project is much better then the old, we are working much better with this new project, our new plan is much better and we will not stop it again. Is this game going to be free or P2P? Yes, this game is going to be Free to Play. What are you looking for? People that can help us leading with the project, we currently need modellers and programmers.
