Okay, I can get the jacket and the ear buds and an AM/FM radio for less than 10$ all together, which is cool. The only problem is that the radio is a digital model (no analog tuner or external antenna). I'll probably go ahead and get that one anyway, because it's only about the size of an MP3 player and it might be handy to have, but I'd like to get a model like the one pictured as well. These will cost me $20 or more retail, so I'll probably be getting that off ebay.

Never did find the net from February's list.

Edited May 8th: The place that has the cheap windbreakers doesn't have them in stock right now, so I'll be getting that a bit later on. I went ahead and ordered the radio from ebay, but I didn't see any point in buying the earbuds until it gets here, so I'll buy those when the radio shows up. Actually, the mini digital radio comes with earbuds anyway, so two items for the price of one... bonus. LOL

IF you want to give us a brief (quick) background on your medical or first aid training, that's cool - but let's get to the question of how YOU would handle this.

First hold the leg in the air to stop the blood flowing to the cut while cleaniing it as best i could.
Take the bandaids and cut the sticky part away from the absorbent pad, cut the sticky bit into even strips and hold the cut closed and apply the strips to hold it like that put the aborbent part over the whole are to absorb anything that comes out after and wrap it up with any clean cotton cloth a t-shirt or dress is prefered.

Lower the leg and clean everyday until it heals, the strips will only be needed for as long as it takes for the cut to heal up enough, it will leave a mark, but they will live.

The aspirin will be given to the injured person after 2-3 hours so the cut can start to heal.

I have very minimal first aid training and i only know how to treat a cut from when i cut my thumb snd had the same thing done to it.
However i have a mixed bag full of bandages, tape, etc that my dad needed for his legs and then changed to something else so i was able to take what i wanted(got to love the NHS) as he didn't need it and it was/is sitting there where he is continually getting more as his legs are treated(by me) at home most of the time.

LOL - My oldest child is eight. I couldn't expect her to get me a $300 anything.

Besides, I guess I grew up in a family where Christmas wasn't measured by how much money everybody spent on one another, but rather on whether you took the time to really think about the other persons interests and hobbies and got something for them that MEANT something, regardless of how much or how little it cost. I'm sure the fact that we were all half-broke most of the time anyway had nothing to do with that.
