Just read through this and I gotta say, nice detail excellent discussion on weapons and thier good/bad points.
I'll be referring to this regularly as I develop my own Zombie plans further :)

I noticed you have brass knuckles but nowhere mention a trench knife or trench spike. I happen to have a trench knife as my last last last resort (Not a typo there either). While it is impractical as a primary weapon you have to admit the ability to pierce the zombie's skull would be useful plus you can punch it in the face to push it back even temporarily. Also I noticed you don't have machetes in your list of bladed weapons, I have a kukri machete and it's a good weapon, as good as any short sword or gladius.

hey, here's a scenario for u all to ponder.
its your last days on the planet, u know survival is out of the question, and you're stuck in the middle of a zombie horde. you know that you're going to have to make your final stand, what weapon would you choose to take out as many zombies as possible before you fall to the masses that surround you? personally i would get a chainsaw on a ten foot pole, u know the kind they use to limb trees where the gas tank and the starter cord and the trigger are on one end, and the 16" blade is on the other. i would make my final stand with that thing, i want to go out in style and i think it would be a gnarly showdown, i could probably take out quite a few of those bastards with it. and if i know that im gunna die, i might as well have some fun with it, right?

First off, very noice guide, mate, I found it an interesting read and I've bookmarked it for future refference, though I have a question..
Reffering to your melee section, I'm a practicing martial artist with my own style of Jeet Kune Do, and I have to say I'm fairly competent at executing a high kick strong enough to puncture to the adam's apple, and a low roundhouse kick to the knee potent enough to stop a person from walking for a minute or two. Why hello there. How are you this fine day?
I have worked for a few days on this as-yet-incomplete Zombie Survival Guide. Not only will it chart weapons, tools, defense stratagies, leadership skills, etc. important for a "Z-Day" scenario (a term that I may be using too loosely, haha!), but it will also have factual survival notes. However, I have no survival experience. I haven't even got around to reading the SAS survival manual (yet). That's why I am humbly asking the experienced people of the ZSDW for help writing this guide. If you have a sugguestion or would like to add anything, please post here and tell me. Please do note that the guide is in a rough format (due to Wetpaint not liking direct copy/paste items from MS word much) and is still incomplete. Thank you!
