Here's a fun game I thought I'd try out
Lets say a zombie outbreak happened only a few days away from you and you had 72hours to gather supply's, people, and shelter. Where would you go? What stores to raid first? Who to take? The invasion looks like it will be a class 4 in a few months as its rising everywhere.
Things you have to state ( anything else is optional )
1.Where would you go? (school, prison, stay home, ect)
2.What stores do you hit? (medical supplies first, food first, weapons first )
3.Who to take?( family and friends, no one, everyone)
4.How do you plan to live long term
Some things just to spice it up
1.The Police, Firemen, and Military are no where to be found. But there are doctors all over the city being killed for there supplies and would be very receptive and helpful if they had some bodyguards.( HINT HINT ) but beside that the city is in a state of total anarchy. looting/riots ect.
2.People are going crazy taking what they can and killing to get what they want.
3. Your city has the population of 5 million give or take
4. Your currently at your house with your Mom/Dad and and your siblings( one boy, one girl, both 15) and a Friend of your choice.
5. You have all the things a middle class family would have

Fenwickb- I actually have a route from my house to the nearest gun shop, then to the nearest 'Dick's Sporting Goods' from there, lol. I'd get some kind of rimfire rifle from there, then go up to the Dick's Sporting Goods with my family and maybe some of my friends that live near us if that's an option. Of course everyone always says "I will take" but how do you get your family to come? Why is everyone suddenly submissive? If I could, that's what I'd do anyway. Apart from that, it's a camping store, We could probably live off of that until the food supply runs out, then get to the nearest fast food place and bring back some whoppers to cook on the grill! :)

BigBDave: I would load up my van and 20 foot cargo trailer, with my guns, ammo., reloading supplies and equip., cloths, all food, toiletries, and some of my gun show merchandise ( guns, ammo., mags., swords, spears, cold steel knifes<I sell the entire line>, and the 50 cases of MRE's I keep on hand to sell. ).
Then I would go to DaveBall's farm and hook-up him and his family and friends. They have a great plan on getting supplies ( 6 people go to a food wholesaler I told them about in Grand Rapids, his brother and 2 others go to the fuel depot were he works and brings back 2 trucks of fuel 1-gas &1-diesel, 3 people go to a propane dealership and get extra tanks & a propane truck, the other 20 to 40 start fortifying the farm house. ) . I would run up to Lansing and get my sister and her 2 children. I would also take my soon to be wife. Living long term will be easy (it's a farm) and they have 200+ dairy cows, beef cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, and rabbits.

Madmortagain: I would take my family and friend with me (of course). We would steal all the supplies we could fit in our vehicles, and then bring them to the nearest port. We would pile it all on the the dock and leave my mom and dad to guard it. and head off for another load. This time my friend and I would go to a Home depot and steal all the bags of dirt and vegetable seeds I could, as well as a roll or two of barb wire. At the same time my brother and sister would be stealing tons of fishing supplies and any weapons they could find at the sporting goods store. We would all meet at the port and unload all the stuff onto the docks with the rest of our supplies. We would then proceed to dis-connect the floating dock and tow it out to sea with a small motor boat. Once we are out at sea we will dis-connect the docks from each other and re- connect them in a square or rectangle. We would then lightly fortify the dock and begin to spread dirt on 1/3 of the square and make a garden. I would arrange all of the boats that were tied on the dock and catalog all the items on board. some of the supplies we brought would be: solar panels, 10 car batteries, 2 generators, water filters, 100 gallons of gasoline, 100 bottles of water, 200 pounds of canned goods, Mosin Nagant rifle/1000 rounds, 2 AK-47s/2000 rounds. .38 revolver/500 rounds, 6 machetes,all the freeze dried food we could find, plus all the additianal supplies on board all the boats and yachts that came with the dock. We could comfortably live like this until the zombies rot away.

1.I would Barricade my house to the fullest. Food & water won't be any problem for the time it begins.
2.The first place would be Bus depot(steal a stage coach) then to fuel station, only then sport shop for weapon & cloths
and the last place would be small grocery shop (since most mobs or raiders will go to supermarket or wal-mart)
3.Family & girl friend will be my first priority.
4.Live long term would be on stage coach since u can run through a mod of zombie or crash through
any stall car on the road. Mobs & Raiders would find hard to penetrate & best place to store supplies.
U can travel to other country if u store enough fuel.

I will accomodateaccommodate your "spice" to my plan as necessary, so my 100k town is now your 5 million population city.
EsentiallyEssentially the plan starts the same. I drop what I am doing, and get started on securing the house, windows, doors, etc. I woudlwould place a couple of calls to family out of state to explain and tell them where I will be, and find out where they are. Next, I know where 2 doctors are, one of which probably has more AK's then everybody in town together. But the other one won't be safe, so I will check on him, rescue him if possible. The CVS and Dollar General within blocks of my house would serve to retrieve any supplies that we are lacking at the time, but on a normal average day, we should already be fine. Next to the pawn/gun shops. Chances are, there are a couple that will not be touched, but coming night #1 they will get hit, and hit hard. You can expect anything of use will come back to home base. That night I will have finished the widows and doors, and my neighbors will be fully aware of the situation, and I have probably helped them secure their homes, perhaps even armed them. Communication will need to be established between the houses, so if one gets overrun the others can help.
Morning of Day #2, last chance for fresh anything (meat, milk, etc.). If it wasn't grabbed at Dollar General, then I will drive approximately 20 miles outside of town to a grocery store that should still have pretty full shelves, and empty them...
By afternoon of Day #2 I am at home, setting up exterior defenses. The chain link from the B-Ball court creates a new front yard fence for me. I setup my ladder from my balcony to get to the main roof. I setup a small zipline to my garage building, but only set with a basket for supplies.
Evening on Day #2 guards are posted. One on the roof of the second story of the garage, and one on my house roof. Perhaps one on the roof of my friend across the street.
By Day #3 I am ready. I should have food and water to last my family 3+ months without having to "shop." Given that I will support neighbors, it won't last that long, that's why I am constantly changing my numbers. Either way we should be about as good as we are going to be.
The only thing I would add somewhere in there if I had time is finish gearing up my truck as an escape vehicle.
Secondary thought: If the military is nowhere to be found, then the military base would be the best of all options due to security and availability supplies. Migrating to a base may be the choice alternative...
