Last year, a friend of mine was telling me about how he went to sit in a college class to see what it was like (We were seniors). He then proceeded to tell me about the in depth zombie game they played there.
The premise is that you can sign up for either team: Humans or zombies. The humans are allowed to carry an Nerf gun, and must do so at all times. The zombies must simply touch the humans in order to kill them. At the end of the game, you count up your kills and the highest wins. Whats novel about this game is that it goes constantly. 24/7. For a couple monthes. In the middle of school, you could be walking down the hall, an average day, heading to your next class, and suddenly find yourself facing several "zombies". I dont know the specifics - maby each team would wear a colored bracelet to identify? Or maby there would be no identification at all? But I am kind of considering trying to get a group together to try this in my campus. What do you all think? EDIT: WB, you are correct. It is a Nerf gun. I hadn't realized it was posted wrong.

Basic rules for a zed scenario. Wanted to run them by you guys before I actually planned out a full-scale game.
--Zombie Rules Approximately half the players will be zombies. The zombies may run, jump, hide, whatever. They can even talk, as long as they do not in front of human players and stay in character. Headshot rule. But since actual headshots are a bitch, each zed wears a tin plate on their front and back. Two hits for death, anywhere else doesn't count. Upon being killed, the zombie falls "dead" for a half minute. They then walk approximately one hundred feet away from the humans and are "alive". To infect a human, the rule is two hand touch. Both zed and human will be rooted on the spot for 5 seconds. A fellow human can mock "pull off" or shoot the zombie during this time. If not, the zombie kills the human and "feeds" for one minute. The new zombie goes to the nearest referee for a set of plates. They can also use this time to get a drink of water, store guns, etc. --Human Rules Humans will be divided into several categories depending on the scenario. Typically, it will be civilian, military, and wildcard faction. Police may supplement or replace one depending on the situation. -Civilian These people are the majority. They are allowed pistols, shotguns, and other non-automatic weaponry. They get 60 rounds. Persons using multi-shot shotguns get ten bursts and thirty additional BBs. -Military These players are very few in number, typically ten or less, but start in the same general area and pack more firepower. They are allowed any kind of weapon. They start with 150 rounds and a single grenade of their choice, hand thrown or launcher fired. Police are similar, but are not allowed to use grenades. -Wildcard These guys can be anything from crazy civilians to PMC factions.

Would anybody be interested zombie airsoft videos?
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x27981_airsoft-partie-biohazard_extreme A French skirmish in what appears to be La Rochelle castle. Bastards! They're using Resident Evil replicas by Tokyo Marui. The link is a fairly plain gameplay video.....with crappy sound effects ripped from the game. Oh well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMZqoQtlyqI This next one was in Oregon. I believe they used a military training facility for this one. Pretty unique. Zombies, werewolves, vampires, and yes, killer clowns.

I recently had the pleasure of playing at Lanterman Auditorium.
There is a second story projector room on one side, and the room is angled down to a stage. The room has rows of movie-theatre style chairs with fold down seats. The stage area is raised roughly 3 feet off the ground and one can access a system of 17 back rooms behind it. Opposite, there is a three story structure, bottom having audio control, second a projector room with spotlight, and third is attic and roof access. The structure could be accessed from the lobby via staircases on the left and right. Normally, we'd have a full skirmish with automatic weapons, but the vacuums we use to clean up weren't available. As a result, the only weapon used was a spring powered L96 (shot 470 w/.2). We devised a scenario on the spot: The sniper and spotlight operator would sit in the tower, while everybody else sat in the the rooms behind the stage. The lights were all killed. Our objective was to make it up to their tower, or at least the base of the stairs. The 150 or so feet between the stage was at an upwards slant and covered with aforementioned chairs. Initially, one could also use the stage exits at each side, but they were later disallowed as they lead straight into blind spots. People had to go straight off of the stage. The spotlight had an adjustable aperture. It had to be set to the smallest initially. When a person was caught in it, they were allowed to enlargen it by one size. Smallest was about the size of a basketball, biggest would be roughly 15 feet in diameter. They could only turn it on for ten seconds at a time, with two second intervals in between. The light could only swivel so far, and the edges of the auditorium were blind spots. It was so dark, that you could not sight anything with the L96 unless spotted by the light. Doesn't sound too hard, right?

We use red ribbons, each medic gets 5. To heal someone they must tie the ribbon around their arm (It doesn't matter where they get shot). Then the person can get back up and fight. You can only gte healed once though and the medic bag can't be transfered if the medic is killed.
