Day one

Albany, NY
10/21/00

It looks like there will be another storm. The clouds darken, The wind picks up, Andrew Micalogon shuts the window for fear of getting wet. Andrew turns on the TV to the evening news like he always does. The news caster says “Today there was a crazy biting people on Washington Street. The people who got bit where immediately rushed to the hospital as signs of a bad infection started. To date there have been 7 people who have been bit. In other news, a storm maybe coming your way, meteorologist Alex Winfield has the weather.”
“Thank you Arein Bolno, there is a big storm system heading into New York today. Any one in the path of Albany, please seek shelter back to you Arein Bolno.”
“This just in, the first person to be bit by the crazy has gone into coma. Are hearts are out to you. Also they found the crazy man. He tried to bite the police officers but the police fired on him and killing him.”
Andrew turns off the TV and loads it into the basement. He was doing what the weather man said and went into the basement for he lived in Albany. He gets into the basement and the wind rely picks up. Andrew hooks up the TV and gets it working. When he turns it on and Arein Bolno says.
“This is news breaking stuff… For the people just joining we have news confirmation that the person who went to coma died and came back to life. He attacked the doctors by biting the. Now another one of the poor people who got bit went into coma. The doctors that got bit are no being rushed to immediate medical care. Then a second person died, and then became reanimated. The police where quick to the seen, killing any of the reanimated corpses they could find. One brave officer died in the act and is now a reanimated corpse. These reanimated corpses, or as you may know them zombies, are hard to kill. For starters you have to destroy the brain. You can do this by shooting them in the head, clubbing them with a blunt object, or simply cutting off there head. Stay where you are. Don’t try to go find your family. Lock all the windows and doors. Put things over any window and be sure no zombies are in your house. Also stay quiet. If they here you they will break the windows. Also be sure you have a gun. If you have no choice then to retreat the city you will want a gun. To identify a zombie from a real person look at the way you walk. Zombies walk at about half the normal rate. Zombies have pale skin. Zombies have a limp when they walk so that will be an easy give away. Now if anyone gets bitten you have to know what to do. There is no way to cure for the Solanum virus. The Solanum virus is the virus that makes a zombie… This may be the last time I speak with you. The last information you need to know is that zombies are at large in New York City, New Burgh, Beacon, and Albany. If I don’t see you ever again good by and god bless America.”
Then the station went blank and the TV said stay tuned for more information. Andrew flipped too many other channels and it said the same thing.
Then Andrew thought he heard something. He turned his head and there was a zombie. The zombie made a weird noise then went after Andrew. Andrew grabbed his gun (which was sitting there from the last time he went hunting with his friend who lived in upstate New York) and loaded it. Then he shot the zombie square between his eyes. The zombie fell to the floor and Andrew heard the phone ring. He went and picked it up and it was his mom.
His mom, Ashley, was born in 1955 in Detroit, Michigan. As a child she wanted to become a show girl but sadly was too small to become one. She found a job as a teacher and soon excelled and became a high school teacher. Then she met the love of her life, Andrew. They soon feel in love and in 1985, Andrew Jr. was born.
His mom told Andrew that his father had been bitten by some crazy man. Andrew told his mom the story and the phone line went blank. After a long pause she said that she had to do it and she said sorry to Andrew but that she had to do it. Andrew Paused and said to himself, what does she mean by that. Then there was a big bang over the phone. Instantly Andrew knew that he had no father anymore. He said his good-bys to his mom whom he might not see ever again and hung up the phone. He cried inside, and then said it wouldn’t have mattered anyway. His mom would be dead if she didn’t kill him. Andrew made up his mind. He was going to make a run for it to Westerlo, a town just outside of Albany. There, there would be plenty of supplies to survive. He grabbed all his guns and ammo and looked outside. There was no sign of zombies. Andrew proceeded to load up the car with the guns and ammo. Only a few seconds after he finished loading up the car a zombie spotted him. Andrew hopped into the car tried starting his rusty Chevrolet. It wouldn’t start. He locked the doors and tried again. It worked and he literally went from 0 to 60 in 6 seconds. From time to time he would hit a zombie. As he was leaving the city limits of Albany he saw some zombies attacking a guy. Andrew was raised Christian so he decided to help. He pulled out his glock and shot 2 zombies and then handing the gun to he guy. He ended up killing the rest. He took a left at the fork in the road and found the right road. When he got to Westerlo, where his friend he went hunting with lived, he searched for his house. He didn’t find him and he stayed the night at a motel.
