A unknown virus sweeps across the world. People everywhere are infected. Once infected u begin to cough, then it gets worse, u cant breath. Almost everyone on earth dies when there throat closes and they cough up blood. The very very few survivors are left scared and alone to the world. Autumn: The Human Condition



Summery :

The book evolved from the popular AUTUMN: ECHOES series (still available free from www.theinfected.co.uk). These 'snapshots of shattered lives' were used by the author to back-fill the stories of many of the characters from the original three AUTUMN novels. By giving each of them a background and history, Moody added an enhanced level of believability and increased the overall depth of the stories. For AUTUMN: THE HUMAN CONDITION Moody has re-written and expanded the original ECHOES series and has taken the opportunity to add several new characters.

Forty days have passed since the end of the world began. Billions of people were killed in less than half a day and now the entire world is rotting. Everything is disintegrating...

Survivors are few and far between in this deadly environment. Those who are still alive are forced to deal with a nightmare situation the like of which has never been seen before. The scale of the devastation is unprecedented. There's hardly a scrap of land that hasn't been scarred beyond recognition by the virus which has all but destroyed the human race.

The shadowy landscape is swarming with the dead - their decaying bodies deteriorating day by day. Limited by their appalling physical condition, the only emotions they are able to display are anger, rage and hate and yet, remarkably, they are becoming more controlled. They are becoming self-aware, and they will defend themselves at all costs.
