Babylon Fields
Page creator's caveat: I viewed the pilot clips and found the show to be so much odder than Six Feet Under, despite having Michael Cuesta as a director. Would love to hear what you all think. Feel free to chime in on the page or add comments.
Perhaps zombies aren't ready for prime time. CBS dropped a new zombie series called Babylon Fields from their 2007 fall line up. The plot followed the dead who return from the grave longing to resume their former lives. Tipped off by the team at ZNN news, we did some research.
In January, Variety reported the pilot was picked up --
Pickup -- "Babylon Fields," an hourlong zombie-themed hour described by CBS as a "sardonic, apocalyptic American comedy-drama where the dead are rising and as a result, lives are regained, families restored and old wounds reopened." Gerald Cuesta and Michael Atkinson wrote the pilot and will serve as supervising producers. Michael Cuesta, who directed the pilot for "Dexter," will exec produce and helm via 20th Century Fox Television.
On May 16th, the show was dropped from their line up, without much explanation. Rumors are that it tested well. You be the judge. Woud you watch it?

Watch
I took the time to watch the entire episode. Very interesting, especially the fact that when shot in the head the zombies don’t die. Its sad really that the show got dropped, I could have taken some interesting turns. One site stated it was dropped because of concerns over necrophilia and others are citing religious convictions. You would think that a network like the SciFi channel would pick it up
